"In Defence of Marxism"...will they ever give up?

Here's a few recent Marxist events spreading propaganda across the US.

In fact; Marxist are hard at work selling their Utopian Dream worldwide.

And there's always an abundance of eager buyers among the gullible masses.

USA: Marxist School 2019 a Great Success!
    Socialist Revolution - USA18 November 2019

The International Marxist Tendency held its annual NYC Marxist School on the weekend of November 9 & 10. This year it was co-sponsored by the Queens DSA Political Education Working Group, which has worked with the IMT to organize the Marx Was Right Forum. This weekend’s school was the largest IMT Marxist School yet organized in the US, with nearly 100 in attendance!

Trump, China, and the coming crisis
    Leroy James 04 November 2019

In August, the expected yield for ten-year Treasury notes fell below the yield for two-year notes for the first time since 2007, with the 30-year bond yield also reaching a new low. The “yield curve” tracks the yield to investors who purchase shares in government debt to be paid back over various time horizons. The national debt accrues as the US Treasury sells Treasury securities in exchange for cash used to finance the government.

    Marxism vs. sectarianism
    Socialist Revolution (USA)18 October 2019

Opportunism and sectarianism are two sides of the same coin. Both must be combated if the program of revolutionary Marxism is to become a mass force by connecting with the aspirations and movement of the working class, as Socialist Revolution (the IMT in the USA) explains.

    US Marxists launch new website!
    Socialist Revolution (USA)15 October 2019

Last week, the comrades of the US section of the IMT unveiled a new version of socialistrevolution.org. After 16 years of producing Socialist Appeal, we launched Socialist Revolution in 2017, a better name for the struggles of the post-2017 election era. Our new site was also a big step forward toward raising the IMT's profile and visibility. Since then, we have kept working on improvements to continue to enhance the user experience, especially on mobile devices.

USA: impeach capitalism – the whole system is guilty!
    John Peterson 30 October 2019

“Treason!” “Sedition!” “Spies!” “Bull****!” “Fraud!” and “Civil war!” Such was the response of the presidential “stable genius” to the ongoing drama unfolding on Capitol Hill concerning impeachment proceedings against him. Trump’s hubris appears to have caught up with him at last as a sprawling investigation spills messily into the headlines. The American president is a wretched reactionary—to put it mildly—and billions worldwide are understandably delighted to see him get some form of comeuppance. But what’s behind the smoke and mirrors? Whose interests are served by this charade?

If you don't make capitalism appealing to the mode income worker, this is what you get.

Workers of modest abilities, ambition, education and intelligence will generally struggle in whatever economic system they're competing in.

And society's slackers, lacking the drive to compete, will blame their problems and failures on capitalism and people of wealth and success.

Albeit; most slackers do seem to fair well under capitalism which is obvious by the 'obesity' common among America's poverty stricken.

You have to admit; the United States does have the fattest poor people in the world...

Fat people are generally a result of low cost, high starch diets. This is well known.

Let me tell you something else that is "well known".

Concocting a lame excuse to redirect the responsibility for people's own self-destructive behavior is "well known" as political correctness.

Telling people "the system that feeds you is solely to blame for your obesity" robs them of the personal responsibility necessary to lose weight.

Here we go with the "everything on Earth is personal responsibility driven.

Okay, given that, why is the president a lardass?

Quote above edited for word count.

    Empirica:

So poor defensless capitalism is threatened by a small margin of people in America thinking that capitalism is a failure and that's a threat in your mind? That would seem to indicate to me that purely ideological capitalism, unconstrained by countervailing political and economic forces, is on pretty shaky grounds and is in need of some critical review and adjustment. One might argue that capitalism's fraternal twin consumerism attracts more eager buyers among the gullible masses than Marxism, so maybe it's time to attack that addiction rather than moaning about fringe political factions in America.

Your analysis of people in post #4 is of course insane. Your workers of modest abilities, ambition, education and intelligence is as a bloc of about half of the population in any society, due to statistical parameters, so you're indicting half of America for not living beyond their capabilities. Your fixation on competition in society is madness, as many people choose vocations to avoid such social Darwinism. Should schools and teachers vet admissions in order to just ignore their less talented, would-be students and focus on the best and brightest in order to be competative? Should hospitals and doctors turn away slackers and other under performers as unworthy of full medical attention? How long can such a self-consuming society survive?

It is the poisonous low-cost diet marketed by successful capitalists to the poor unsuccessful capitalists and the gullible which has led to the crisis of obesity in America. If you're poor, then you cannot afford to buy a well balanced and healthy diet as the market does not give a damn about the health of consumers, only their blind submission to it.

Marxist Socialism may be a utopian pipe-dream but your version of unfettered capitalism appears to me to be a dystopian nightmare. Mixed economies governed by the market for efficiency and by the state and other institutions for compassion and fairness are preferable to the "succeed or be destroyed" capitalism which you seem to be advocating for here. And since successful capitalists will always be a small minority in any society, then popular revolution and upheaval will be the result of the unfairness of your particular version of capitalism. You shall perish at the hands of enraged under performers and slackers, who will then turn on themselves until everything is lost. Rational people would work to avoid that by ensuring an economic system is both efficient and fair to the majority of citizens.

Marxism is still useful as a basis for criticising and critiquing capitalism, even if its own past remedies proved to be utter failures.

    Cheers.
