Happy Canadian Independence Day. Dec. 11, 1931, the Statute of Westminster granted Canadian Independence. There was no stuggle, no revolution, just an act of Parliament in London.

Congratulations!

Some Americans wish that the American colonies had followed the same route instead of revolution.

If there had been no revolution, there would have been no horrific Civil War, for the British would have abolished slavery early on.

Evolution is always preferable to revolution, which always has unintended consequences.
