Who has control of the camera showing the WAPO writer entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul? You would think that the Saudis knew of the camera covering the entrance. Their claim is that their security monitoring is “streaming,” what good is that if you want to see something? The conventional wisdom says that the journalist was killed/dismembered and then taken out of the consulate in luggage. Reports state that US Intel has monitored traffic that stated the Saudis wanted to ”lure” the reporter. Is this a brazen statement or is it just ineptitude? Our relations with both Saudi Arabia and Turkey have been better in the past. What do you think?
