India is not just ignoring US sanctions, they are doing it openly, and in uncharacteristically undiplomatic language.

Don't expect it to stop there. One of the interesting aspects to this is that it will force countries to move away from the dollar, to make it less easy for sanctions to be enforced. That whittles away at the reserve status for the dollar. Not a direction anyone sane wants to go.

I think Trump's an absolute embarrassment to the US and have him tagged as one of the worst narcissistic characters ever to lead any nation but I believe that it's always been every nation for themselves

The isolation of the USA continues.
Like I said elsewhere, if he's allowed to Trump will turn America into Albania, with walls on both borders.

Because while people are either cringing and/or laughing at the Trump pantomime on the world stage the rich people in the US are , behind the scenes , dismantling all the legislation that has been fought for to protect the people and the environment from destruction at their greedy psychopathic hands

True, every nation is and should be, for it's self. The problem here is that Trump is eroding the principle that self interests are better served by cooperation toward common goals and the value of compromise for shared benefits.

They have constituencies to please too. But they also realize that in many areas America is working at a loss and this can't go on forever. Can you imagine the India prime minister going on TV and saying - "Don't worry about the steel and aluminum tariffs, we don't make that much steel or aluminum. So it's OK. We are worried that it might be a shot across our bow over pharmaceuticals. Whew! So as long as Trump doesn't fool with our big industries, we're happy campers!"

We kicked them in the nuts, this isn't about compromise, or Indian selfishness. We pushed them too far, they had to respond, and you can bet they are talking to Europe behind closed doors.

Republicans that aren't batsh*t crazy are leaving. The remaining ones, that have a clue, are afraid. By the time we get to impeachment, there will be Republicans voting to impeach. But don't expect any profiles in courage. The party is utterly corrupt.

It's going to take at least a generation to fix the coming mess and damage Trump and his Republican allies and Con media allies are doing to our country.

For 8 years the SOB's in the GOP and the Con media accused Obama of alienating our allies and kissing up to our adversaries. Now Trump is doing exactly that, to the nth degree, and the Republicans in Congress don't care. Party before country.

They also accused Obama of being an inexperienced celebrity, and Trump is literally both. But Trump is worse than everything they attacked Obama on. Trump is a conspiracy theorist and a liar, and he stokes racial division. Trump is more or less the white version of Jeremiah Wright, minis the Rev.
