For the impending World Cup, (soccer) Mastercard have promised to fund 10,000 meals for starving children in the Caribbean and Latin America for every goal scored during the tournament by Neymar or Messi.
What a bunch of psychopaths! Making the feeding of children dependent on chance, when they have the funds to do it, but withold them!

"And Messi goes down!"
"Well, Scott, this does not look good for hungry children."

They dont have to do anything.I admire Mastercard for what they are doing.

"Wow, that goalie really hates starving children."

Question. If a game gets out of reach, is the opposing team assholes for not letting him score over and over?

Liberals can turn any snippet of good news into something not so good.

MasterCard is donating more meals than all other groups put together. At least I have heard of no other group.

How is that any different when the Hollywood elite throws a fund-raising party for the "hungry children" while all along each one of those elites can feed thousands of children every single day by just shelling out the millions they make?!?

Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos combined could stop world hunger today ... if they wanted to.

This isn't a political issue, yet the Trump faithful are scratching their skulls in bewilderment...how is that possible. I kid, I kid, I know why that's possible.

Take off the tinfoil hat, and really think about. I'll help you in a step by step.

Is charity generally a good thing? Yes.
if MC pays out tens of thousands to hungry kids a good thing? Yes.
If the infinite number of ways they could have structured that charity, was this a "be best" way? No.
The post is pointing out the stupidity of their choice, as a large multinational corporation, they "dropped the ball" on this one. It's worth an eye roll, nothing more or less, get over it.

Gates foundation is the largest philanthropic organization.
The Gates are the second most generous philanthropists in America.

So yeah, if we're comparing Mastercard to Gates, there is no comparison.

If Bill Gates is such a generous philanthropist, how come he's still worth $92 billion while children are starving?!?

Companies do this all the time. It’s a fun way to raise awareness for whatever charity they are promoting

In other words, you have no clue who is feeding hungry kids or not, but you want to defend a company that makes a game out of it. OK.

That is basically what ever single game show does during their celebrity episodes.

Or they could give nothing.

Have you told them that?

No other words. My words. And no. Why would I not defend a company that is putting up 40 - 50 thousand meals? Why would you not? I don't see any game.

If you have knowledge of others doing something similar, post it. All I see you sending is sour grapes.

Why are you not being honest about such a simple, non-partisan thing? I know you post bull**** about Trump, but why about everything else too? Are you OK?

In 2009, Gates and Warren Buffett founded The Giving Pledge, whereby they and other billionaires pledge to give at least half of their wealth to philanthropy.[SUP][16]

As of 2007, Bill and Melinda Gates were the second-most generous philanthropists in America, having given over $28 billion to charity;[SUP][URL="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Gates#cite_note-92"][90]
[/SUP] the couple plan to eventually donate 95 percent of their wealth to charity.[SUP][91]
[/SUP][/URL][/SUP]

In a BBC interview, Gates claimed "I've paid more tax than any individual ever, and gladly so... I've paid over $6 billion in taxes.

Suggesting one of the most if not the most charitable person in America is not charitable, is too stupid for words.

What is too stuuuupid for words is a twisted interpretation of what someone says.

Where did I twist anything? No evidence to back your claim...so typical!
So you agree Gates is one of the most generous/charitable Americans, in history?

I am thinking the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson could do it as well!

Are they taking away food from kids if Neymar and Messi are carded for simulation?

;)

1. BFD!
2. Not psychopaths.

If you want to make a difference; donate yourself, get others to donate, or make an appeal to the teams to make as many, but equal amount of goals, for a certain period of time and then play normally for the remainder of the game.
