IMO, when a national election process results in Duterte or Trump becoming President, said election process should become an increasingly higher public interest priority.

Trump has heaped volumes of praise upon Duterte which IMO is quite telling; I believe they both have sadistic personality disorder .........

That personality disorder does not exist as a diagnosis. Nevertheless, Trump should call out any leader that doesn't maintain good human rights policies.

As someone who is getting ready to marry a licensed clinical therapist, using the appropriate words when discussing serious mental illness matters. Sadistic personality disorder isn't a thing. There are plenty of actual personality disorders, and most of them are the most serious mental illnesses in the DSM, as they are deeply ingrained in the person's psyche. I'm not a fan of the armchair diagnosis from afar of Trump or anybody else for that matter, as it's not only unethical, but impractical and inaccurate to do so. Both Trump and Duterte are horrific excuses for national leaders and men, shouldn't that be enough to not elect them?

And with respect to the comments by Duterte in general, the man is an admitted vigilante killer, so why do we expect anything less than this depravity from him? The Philippines, although a nominal ally, is rapidly sinking into another round of dictatorship. We should be pushing hard against the human rights violations that are obvious in the drug killings and the fight against rebels in the nation's south. I know we don't want to push the Philippines into China's waiting embrace, but not doing anything about the gross violations of human rights and liberties that are clearly happening in the country is undermining our ability to do so elsewhere in the world in the future.

It was a tasteless joke rather than an order and the audience laughed, according to the official transcript. I think sexism is rife in the Philippines.
