Are free markets doomed to fail? I question their efficacy in global trade. Historically, the free market trade that lead to europe's rise was conducted largely amongst themselves. Larger Asia, africa, the americas, australia and antarctica were secluded. With the rise of communism in China, it has lead to a realiation. Truly free trade markets will bankrupt and disrupt trade for a country. I ask, is there a saving grace for capitalism? Is the free market an effective means of trade today and/or in the near future?
