All the Dems are criticizing Trump for his immigration policy (if you can call it that), and rightfully so, at least on some counts.

But this thread isn't about Trump and his policies, it's about Dems and theirs. What exactly is it? Have any of the Democratic presidential runners given any details on what they would do instead?

Do they think we should just let everyone in, or should there be a limit?

If there should be a limit, what should it be? Twice what we admit now? Ten times?

Either way, what happens when people come here? Do we leave them to live in the streets (along with half a million who already do), or will they automatically qualify for public benefits?

How will we pay for it all (along with the GND)?

Honestly I don't think a majority of them really have a plan, other than yell the same buzzwords back at our faces. We've had them stand on identity politics for the last two years, and the only two that appear to even have an idea of what they want to discuss. Those two being Gabbard, and Yang.. though Yang has lost some favor with me in the last few months over the way he's been acting. I don't see them being able to even remotely muscle past what kind of a monster the DNC have built for themselves.

If they can't actually come up with somewhat of a decent police, or a stance. Say, like Warren wanting to take it to the larger tech companies, even though we can probably guess she'd never fall through with such a promise.

My hopes for the democratic party this year are very low, to say the least.

Democrats will be fine. There are more of them. They understand progress takes time, realistic views of understanding time is on their side. The U.S. will get past these Trump years, however long they last.....

Not a democrat, but to me the best plan long term is to encourage economic development as a faster pace in Mexico and Central America so these people stay home.

Democrat politicians always claim that they are not for open borders but also eschew the need for deportation. Essentially their position as it stands now is that anyone who gets to America should have the right to stay here.
