A House Painter in L.A. talks about Illegal Immigration and its impact.

I don't really accept binaries, bud... Every time I think I've found one, it bites me in the ass.

We all have our choices to make, according to the life we wish to lead. Since I cannot commit to being a racist, I must put my efforts to being on the side of those looking for a solution, and creating a society where people are equal. There is always a time of reckoning, usually during power transfers, and if your prediction comes true, then when it is my time to reckon I will say I stood for equality and inclusion, and hope to be treated in kind. But rather than face that, I think it would be better to nurture that attitude now, in the hopes that the next age won't belong to a racial demographic, but instead to everyone.

Anyway...we have no common ground on this issue, our views being too far apart, and likely neither of us willing to be swayed. I have the Christian disadvantage of being mandated to do good and have faith...so that's what I'll continue to do. That's the choice I make. Beyond that, all gains or consequences are what they are. :)

Hope it all works out.

BTW........those of us who fought against Asians were not racist......we were patriots.

Those of us who fight against the current invasion of Mestizos and Amerindians are STILL patriots.

You, I guess, are a pacifist.

That's OK too.

It takes all kinds.

Mmm...not a pacifist. Just picky about what I'd be willing to use my hands for...something that came with age, certainly a change from when I was a youth. There are things worth fighting for...but nothing is worth fighting for if it can be solved without fighting, if you know what I'm saying...

As for Vietnam...no, I wouldn't call you racists for fighting the Vietnamese. But that, truly, is a whole other conversation, and one that is no way connected to what's happening at your border right now, in all kinds of different ways, as I'm sure I don't need to lecture you.

Yes, it's actually quite connected to the border problems we are fighting now.......

If you call us racists for fighting against a Mestizo and Amerindian enemy invading our country, you must also call us racists for fighting an Asian enemy (two generations of American patriots in three separate wars)..........especially since that Asian enemy--wasn't even invading our country.

Just because an enemy is a different race does not make us racist when we fight against them.

Yes, another video I happened across while using YouTube. In this case the simple economics of supply and demand presented by a blue collar with decades of work experience in the Southern California market.

Here is HIS take on the effects of illegal immigration:

The simple facts of how labor supply and demand not only effects the economics of many American citizens, but also how it affects our culture.

NOTE: I am not going to summarize the video, since it seems members think I am making the points rather than the person IN the video.

However, I will agree with his simple, straight-forward points on how illegal immigration really effects American society AND on the nations they have fled.

Enjoy.

not sure what you want to convey through this but the nature of life is such that if you don't progress, you standstill, you are going backwards because others pass you by..

with an under 4% unemployment rate the labor market is obviously not holding down wages

also, i am paying considerably more for painters than i was a mere 10 years ago.

Time is change. this gentlemen did not, as a result he is pray to fair market conditions.

Lot's of jobs have rolled back in fair market value unrelated to immigration

Just amazing how Conservatives are now the ones fighting Supply and Demand when for years they attacked liberals in government for trying to do that.

At least liberals have understood the problem for a while and understand when and how to address it. Hint: Sending thousands of soldiers to fight people in desperate need of asylum is not the answer.
