Exclusive: Trump to terminate birthright citizenship

During the 1960's and 70's we had a large migration of Cubans fleeing Castro's vicious regime to America. Cuba was listed as a militarily oppressive state and therefore their citizens were entitled to amnesty status. Those who came to America came through legitimate channels. Our church in West Texas took one of those families to sponsor--the father had been Castro's political prisoner which was a horrendous experience for him. Democrats and Republicans were okay with this.

By the 1990's Cubans were still fleeing the Castro regime in numbers large enough to be alarming at that time--which is laughable these days. President Clinton established a "wet dry" policy--those who made it to land were allowed amnesty. Those intercepted at sea were turned back for humanitarian reasons as the sea voyage was hazardous and the USA did not want to encourage more and more to risk the hazardous journey. Republicans did not object.

President Obama ended amnesty status for Cubans who didn't already live here and Republicans did not object.

There are currently roughly 1.3 million Cubans living in the USA, all legally.

Yes, but they would not be legal if the same standards for refugees and amnesty were applied to them as to refugees from any other country. Wet foot dry foot would be opposed by Republicans for refugees from any other dictatorship besides Cuba.

If the Canadians had no jurisdiction over those foreign citizens, how would they deport them?

I only have jurisdiction over my children, yet that doesn't prevent me from giving you a swift kick in the ass if you break into my home.

Venezuela

We're getting there. Some of our big cities have homicide rates comparable to Venezuela, Brazil, and Mexico. Our homeless populations are swelling, and basic city services like sanitation are not occurring.

The longer the process goes on, the more true the saying is: import the third world, become the third world.

I'm sure you would enjoy doing that. The cops might have something to say about my burglary and your assault as well, as we're both under the jurisdiction of the US.

Which cities would those be?

I won't mind if San Francisco turns into a ****hole.

I mind. You're seeing American cities essentially get invaded and conquered. Remember, Californians voted for Prop 187 and Prop 8. We were ignored by the courts. Are you really willing to let a state be conquered even though it tried to stop it?

June 2019 is almost over, and still no EO. I wonder when he will issue it?

I'm beginning to think he's forgotten.

There's no saving California; look at the goddamn governor. The guy is a complete and certifiable loon.

Here it is nearly October, and Trump still has not issued an executive order to overturn the Fourteenth Amendment. Do you think he is still working on it? I see his supporters are working on convincing us that he can.

Working on it? He probably does not know what it actually contains. Don’t forget he knows it all. He’s a stable genius.
