John Kasich misinterprets the Bible

Thursday on CNN’s “Newsroom,” Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said “the Lord” didn’t want Americans to build walls and reject the migrant caravan that is heading to the United States from Central America.

“We’ve got to start putting ourselves in the shoes of other people. We’ve got to start thinking about the consequences that others suffer. And if we have been spared those by the grace of God, let us be appreciative, let us count our blessings, and let us reach out to those who have less. Let’s stop putting up walls around ourselves and not understanding the plight, the trouble, and the problems of others. It is not right. And the Lord doesn’t want it, and our people at their hearts want to reach out to others. Look at what they do in these storms they go and they rescue people they don’t know. They put them in their homes. They feed them. That’s America. Not all this garbage and this division and yelling and screaming and hatred on all sides.”

Read the book of Nehemiah where God wanted him to build a wall:

“Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. (Nehemiah 2:17-18 NKJV)
 
Apparently this guy still has himself sized up as POTUS material.

This Victim Culture loving twit really does need to go away.

His ideas are moldy and his work has been poor.
 
First, Nehemiah is not part of the Christian Bible. Second, it's an old testament Hebrew book, so if you're going to cherry pick out of that then you open up all the other wacky things like condoning sex slavery, beating sinners' heads in with rocks and not eating pork. You fake ass Christians only reach for the old testament when you're looking for a verse to attack someone else with.

If you prefer the blood and wrath of Yahweh to the love and acceptance of Christ, I suggest you change religions. After all the hateful filth we've seen you spew around here, nobody on this forum would consider you a Christian.

That’s funny because it’s in my bible.

I always love when non Christians try to say what is or isn’t in the Bible and who is or isn’t a Christian

Considering you yourself are a non Christian I doubt you have a bible for more than decoration to pretend to be something you aren't.
 
We see again who Kasich really is and why it was always a joke to call him a Republican. Now he's just desperate to remain relevant and will say anything for attention. Just another bad loser throwing a tantrum, nothing else.
