Labor is a tiny fraction of the cost of produce. Even if it doubled, we'd see just a marginal rise in the cost of food.

Yeah... just some facts with no agenda. They took a bit of a different look at it which was kinda cool. I remember that the number used to be around 20 million back in the day then for some reason, political most likely, it just switched to 11 million. To me all that they did was confirm that the number of 20 million or so from back in the 90's was the correct one to begin with.

My primary concern is not the cost, it's that no one will do the work.

The 20 million plus number has been known for a long time. Its usually the amnesty pushers that claim we only have 7 to 11 millions or so illegals in this country to make amnesty seem more palatable while at the same time not make it seem as though there is not that big of a deal with inadequate border security. When Reagan amnesty was pushed they claimed less than 2 million people would get it, after it was all said an done around 3 million people got amnesty.

There should be no need for that - we do no do that for other criminal charges. Everyone is entitled to a 'speedy' trial. Would you allow a trespasser to stay on your property until a court has found them guilty? Is someone allegedly in the country illegally or with 'fake' ID not a serious risk of not showing up for trial?

Adults are usually put in jail awaiting trial, and we don't put "their" children in with them.

Exactly, but many children are taken by CPS if no arrangements are made for them to be placed in the care of a legal guardian are made.

We can do better than that. Let's design and implement a technology program as shown in Minority Reports. That will certainly solve all our problems, not just immigration problems.

I saw them on TV this morning. Fear not, they made it clear the number had remained steady since 2008. [although that's hard to believe given the number of children they produce]
