Why did the government keep sending the same soldiers back for tour after tour then? The fact of the matter is, they didn't want to have a repeat of the protests of the late '60s when the government conscripted young men to go and fight in a war they didn't believe in.

It is amazing, isn't it, how the US has been able to trick so many young people, and their ignorant parents into participating and support so many vicious US illegal invasions of sovereign nations. All to steal the wealth of the world's poor.

Can you explain the difference between the illegal invasions of Nazi Germany and the myriad illegal invasions of the USA just since WWII?

We just install strongmen to do the bidding of businesses and then the taxpayers foot the bill for unseating him when the profits dry up. (Or his enemy becomes more valuable to them.)

I remember a time when we were going to Somalia and I got in an argument with a Christian roommate over why.

He believed we were doing the right thing by the people suffering there.

I held the position that there was something there that money wanted.

Turned out it was rare earth minerals which couldn't be extracted until order was restored.

Because if the government does something you can't understand, figure out who will get richer from it and there's your reason, almost every time.

BTW - I was there for the famine relief. I didn't see any nation making.
