Illegal Immigration Costs the US $135 Billion, Annually

I think you are making the mistake of mixing personal motivation with political alliance. It is business in general that likes cheap labor, and that is non-partisan. I'll bet the number of employers hiring illegal aliens are not significantly different by political viewpoint. I'll bet many employers also violoate their own beliefs because they have to find cheap labor to compete against their competition using cheap labor.

We need better enforcement, and scare employers away from hiring illegal workers.

The democrats employ (exploit) them by the millions as well. The Democrats have been lying to the unions while stabbing them in the back for decades.

Trump could start fixing that "way too much immigration" issue right at his own businesses but he doesn't. I wonder why? Wouldn't him hiring Americans instead of the 70 immigrants for Mar-a"Lago show that he wasn't lying to you? He scammed you and now you can't admit your mistake. The only solution is to start recognizing, as a majority of voters, to stop worrying about the wedge issues they dazzle us with every election, and pay attention to what they actually do.

However... The people as a whole are too lazy to be properly informed. That's why we get the same bad politicians every election.

The Democrats are responsible? Point me to the bills where Republicans are actively trying to stop this by fining the businesses that hire them or shutting off government assistance to them. If I recall correctly the last amnesty was provided by a Republican.

Yes, this is a huge issue but you ignore that's its both side spending a lot of our money on costs resulting from illegal immigration.

These people are getting amenities we Americans have to earn if we're lucky.

Broadly speaking, both sides contribute to the problem. Dems see immigrants, legal and illegal, as their constituents (generally excepting Cubans). Employers, mostly republican, see cheap, hard to organize employees. But blame is too loaded a word. It’s self-interest.

Migration is a phenomenon thousands of years old. Enforcement of national borders a mere 1-200 years. We live in a world that currently celebrates the movement of capital, but restricts the movement of labor. Slight contradiction. And we are inconsistent. Forty percent or so of illegals are visa overstayers I’m told. Presumably they rape as much as Latinos, but we don’t hear Trumpistas complaining about Hans the barista as much as about Juan the gardener. As comedian Paul Rodriguez said, if you don’t like illegals, strap on a leaf-blower.

Start fining them. A jail term or two if it’s really deliberate. National ID perhaps. But please, I used to investigate employers for a living. It is generally in their interest for them to vote republican.

They do fine them when found, but I think the only time they are found is when an employer is on someone itsha list that has friends in high places.

They simply have very poor enforcement... Unless you are not like by the powers to be...

As a result we have a Conservative Republican in office thanks to this dude. If he would of been a "president" a Demo would continue to be in power.
 
$135B tells me that ICE agents and BP agents are being paid way too much for doing so little.

True, good point AW, the establishment GOP crooks are absolutely in favor of illegal immigration. That's why we voted Trump into office, so let's get out of his way and allow him to improve things.

Most illegals either work under the table where no taxes are paid, work as contract labor so the employer does not take out taxes or works for substandard wages so they are paying no federal or state income taxes.So it was pretty obvious that those who kiss the asses of illegals were lying about their benefits.

I'd just like to see Trump try and enforce the laws first and see how that works out before spending a ton of money on a wall.

I'm in favor of removing our military from Afghanistan, and placing them on our southern border to guard us instead of Afghanistan, where they aren't even wanted in the first place.
