If these requirements are not fulfilled the conditional resident will lose their legal status and be subject to deportation.[SUP][12][/SUP]

And, since the Commie Democrats don't want to play along, Trump tweets that they want to open the floodgates to illegal aliens.

800,000 young, educated Americans, assets to the nation that their parents chose to bring them to, no criminals or gang bangers among them, are being held hostage until Trump gets his boondoggle approved.

Trump wrote, falsely, that Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi “want illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked, are weak on Crime and want to substantially RAISE taxes. I don’t see a deal!”

Deal? What deals has the author of The Art of the Deal actually made to improve anything in Washington? Has he made any deals?

Secure the border first and maybe he (Trump) will work something out.

One small mistake "800,000 young, educated Americans" They are not Americans or citizens if they are so called Dreamers. They are here illegally and the term for that is illegal alien!

Another screw up by Obama, he used his pen to create this so Trump will stop it with his pen.

"Because Obama created the Daca program as an executive policy decision, Trump had the power simply to reverse the policy. He indicated that the government will “generally not take actions” to remove law-abiding Daca recipients."

Okay...this first part here is the rules for DACA, which was created by Obama. This is also the part that will be tossed in the trash by Trump if Congress doesn't act on the issue. This is on Congress.

As someone else mentioned, these Dreamers are not Americans, but I wonder if you can cite anything from Trump saying he won't do anything for the Dreamers if he doesn't get his wall. I haven't seen it. In fact, I haven't seen Congress do ANYTHING about the Dreamers.

More from this article you cite:

Trump plans to meet Congress’ two top Democrats as well as Republican leaders in the Oval Office in late afternoon to discuss a long to-do list of must-pass legislation, most significantly a bill to fund government operations before the current spending authority expires Dec. 8.

Republicans need Democrats’ votes to pass the spending bill and avoid a government shutdown, given the number of Republicans who routinely oppose any spending. But Democrats for months have said they would not provide support unless the legislation included protections from deportation for so-called “Dreamers,” the hundreds of thousands of mostly younger immigrants brought to the country illegally as children.

I think you are spinning stuff. It looks to me like it's the Dems who are holding spending bills hostage unless they get something for Dreamers.

Deal? What deals has the author of The Art of the Deal actually made to improve anything in Washington? Has he made any deals?

Maybe Congressional Dems and Reps should get together and work out a deal, eh? Then they might have something bi-partisan to send to Trump.

Congress needs to stop being lazy and make their own deals.

Those illegals are not Americans. The idea that we should grant amnesty or some form of legalization to any illegals in order to get a wall built or anti-illegal immigration laws passed is ****en absurd. Because what will happen is that the illegals will get amnesty and the wall with either not be built, or will be built so ****ty that illegals don't even need ladders to climb over just like Bush did and the anti-illegal immigration laws ignored Reagan and every president since the Reagan amnesty was enacted and or some other president who kisses the asses of illegals will grant them executive order amnesty like Obama did. Only a ****en moron or a piece of **** anti-American would trade Amnesty for a wall or any other form of enforcement.

What should happen at least is that the house and senate should pass a law prevent future presidents from enacting another executive amnesty like Obama did and be prevented presidents from directing ICE to allow anyone into the country who does not have a VISA like Obama did with the "kids" from central America.

They were brought up and educated in America. They're Americans. Not only that, but educated law abiding Americans, many of them veterans. The only reason Trump wants to boot them out of the country is that the DACA has Democrat cooties on it and he just must overturn everything that Obama did. Meanwhile, he just has to build the great boondoggle that is the Great Wall of Trump, no doubt with a big T every 50 yards or so. Among his absurd ideas, the border wall is one of the most absurd, and that's saying a lot.

Brought up and educated in America is not American.

I tend to agree the wall may not be necessary or desirable. Enforcing our current laws would solve the problem.

One of the laws that needs enforcing is getting rid or prosecuting those here illegally.

A wall is not necessary nor desirable. Enforcing our current laws would indeed stop illegal immigration, starting with the law against hiring them.
Enforcing a law by prosecuting people whose parents broke the law when they themselves were children by sending them to a country they've never known is simply inhumane. Moreover, we can use all of the educated and law abiding youth we have. We can't send them home, as this is their home. Sending them back to the land of their ancestors makes no sense to them or to anyone else.

Moreover, opposing DACA simply because it was passed by Democrats, then claiming that Democrats want to open the borders and allow anyone to come here is partisanship at its very worst.

If the parents broke the law and encouraged or aided the children to do the same, then the parents should be prosecuted to the full extent of the laws.

What is this opposed by Democrats excuse? I oppose illegal because it's illegal. Nothing to do with party. Whether it's Democrats, Republicans, or Libertarians or Socialists, I oppose open borders

I agree with coming down hard on the abettors. Companies, sanctuary anything. Politicians who encourage illegals, schools, everyone.

Some states allow illegals to be treated as residents regarding tuition, scholarships, etc at universities. My county is not allowed to ask the question, let alone bar illegals from attending, yet is required to offer English as a second language courses. Border invading has to stop. We can't afford it.

What is this opposing because Democrats logic? I oppose open borders whether Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, or Socialists advocate it.

BTW, DACA was not passed. It was penned and phoned. President Trump is well within his rights to unpen and unphone it.

Yes, Trump is well within his rights to "unpen and unphone" it.

The question is, should he?

It's not a matter of punishing the parents for having brought their children to the US illegally. It's about punishing the children for the crimes of their parents. Do you really think that is justified? It sounds a lot like the sort of thing that goes on in North Korea, where any act against the state is punished for generations.

And where, in all of this, is the proposal to punish the employers of illegals for having exploited illegal labor? Oh, that won't happen, of course, as the employers are political donors.

IMO, the largest mistake President Trump has made is to not issue an EO rescinding all Obama's EO's. If some are valid, restate them with a EO.

The same goes for Obama appointments. Rescind and possibly rehire if needed or desired. The Obama holdovers have been nothing but obstructionists and trouble.

I stated I was in favor of enforcing the laws regarding aiding and abetting.

"I agree with coming down hard on the abettors. Companies, sanctuary anything. Politicians who encourage illegals, schools, everyone."

North Korea has nothing to do with our border problems. NK enforces their borders.

But, you see, sanctioning the "abbetters," who could better be described as "exploiters," won't happen. The people who exploit illegal labor have money, and therefore power. The illegals have none.

The North Korea comparison has to do with punishing the children for the crimes of the parents. That's what extreme authoritarian regimes do.

and the Great Wall of Trump isn't going to stop illegal immigration. The way to do that is to enforce existing laws, and no one is willing to do that.

If they were "Americans" they could not be deported. There are here illegally. They have violated our immigration law or their parents violated the law by bringing them here.
DACA is not law but made up by the Obama administration. The Trump administration has said that DACA folks would not be a priority for deportation.

The wall is needed in places along the Southern border and will be a big help to keep our nation secure.

They are in reality Americans. They have no cultural ties to the old country. They speak English. They were educated in our schools. Many served in our military. None have any felony arrests. The Americans who are so by accident of birth should be so well qualified.

Sure, DACA has Obama cooties on it, and so has to be overturned by the Trump Administration. That's the only reason for his wanting to deport 800,000 educated and law abiding people.

The wall is an expensive boondoggle that won't work. Enforce the law against exploiting illegal labor, and they will go away, but we'll have to go back to citizens and legal labor bringing in the crops.

So their parents did not teach them their culture?

Speaking English =/= American. Millions of people all over the world speak English yet are not American.

Lots of foreigners are taught in our schools because their parents shipped them here legally to attend our schools. Being taught in America =/= American.

DACA has nothing to do with military service. In fact the Immigration and Nationality Act provides expedited naturalization for non-Americans that served or are serving in the Military during peacetime. And in 2002 President Bush signed an EO that allowed it for times of hostility also which is still in effect. So you might as well just get rid of this talking point. Naturalization Through Military Service: Fact Sheet <--- that is a .gov site.

And despite your claim, no that is not why Trump is getting rid of DACA. He's getting rid of DACA because Obama never should have made it in the first place. Congress/Senate should have, Trump is just making them actually deal with something that they're supposed to do in the first place. It is their responsibility. Not to mention DACA flies full in the face against current immigration law that went through the legislative process and signed by previous Presidents.

I do agree about the Wall though. There are much better ways to drastically reduce illegal aliens from coming to the US and staying.

On that we agree.

They are in reality Americans.

No they are not. They are no more Americans than burglars inside your home are residents of your home.

They have no cultural ties to the old country.

I find that to be complete bull****. I seriously doubt their parents stopped raising them on any traditions the second they all came across the border illegally. Seriously doubt they ditched the beans, rice, tacos Quinceañeras and other things they did in their home country.

They speak English.

They also speak Spanish. I don't think they and their parents gave up on Spanish when they came across the border. I doubt their parents said alright no more speaking Spanish, anyone caught speaking Spanish gets an ass beating because from now on we are Americans and therefore only speak English." I also doubt they gave up on Spanish language TV programs.

They were educated in our schools. Many served in our military. None have any felony arrests. The Americans who are so by accident of birth should be so well qualified.

Irrelevant. They are here illegally. They should not be given a free pass because they received an education that should have never went to them. Seeing how they are here illegally then they should have never been able to set foot in a military recruiter's office.

Sure, DACA has Obama cooties on it, and so has to be overturned by the Trump Administration. That's the only reason for his wanting to deport 800,000 educated and law abiding people.

As adults they are no longer unwilling participants. They are here willing here illegally and therefor not law abiding.
The wall is an expensive boondoggle that won't work.
Says every person will kisses the asses of illegals. The idea that the wall is an expensive boondoggle is laughable. We give away more money and military aid to foreign countries than what they what the one time construction costs of the wall would be.Walls do work its why they get built. Its why Israel has one between them and the Palatines.Suicide bombings dropped dramatically. Its why the Chinese built them off and on for over a thousand years.

Enforce the law against exploiting illegal labor, and they will go away, but we'll have to go back to citizens and legal labor bringing in the crops.

Everyone who supports building a wall isn't saying oh when this wall gets built we won't have to crack down on the scum who hire illegals and we won't have to have border guards. No one is saying the wall is the solution to all our illegal immigration problems. We know we have to crack down on the scum who hire illegals. We also know we have to remove all the incentives that entice them to come and stay here illegally.

So, no, they don't have to have been in the military if they attend college, that's just one avenue.

Trump is bound and determined to get rid of anything that Obama did. The reason he must do that is his base: They hated Obama, and Trump is seen as a way to purge the government of his ideas.

If a burglar broke into your home and had a child with him, would the child also be guilty of burglary?

The purpose of the wall is the same as it always has been: To make people believe that the government is actually willing to do something about illegal immigration when they really are not. What makes you think that (1) the wall idea is something new or that (2) if the wall is built, the employers of illegals will somehow be sanctioned?

We all know how you feel about Mexican illegals, but you're being played: Trump and his minions have no plan to end illegal immigration. They just want you to think they do.

I never said that the Military was the only way that they could become citizens. You however implied that many DACA recipients served in our military and by getting rid of DACA they would no longer be eligible to become citizens and be deported. That was incorrect as I showed you. DACA has no bearing on serving in the military to get citizenship status. So you bringing it up was nothing more than an appeal to emotion. A false one at that.

Nevertheless, many of them are veterans. I wasn't aware that being a veteran could qualify anyone for legal status, but that's how it should be. Moreover, the dreamers who aren't veterans should have a path to citizenship as well. They are American in every way except for accident of birth.

800,000 young, educated Americans,

Lol...wut? If you got something as basic as this so utterly and horribly wrong, on such an epic level, I'd hate to see what you do with a subject with actual nuance.

Yes, being a veteran qualifies you to become a citizen. So long as you had an honorable discharge. And dreamers do have a path to citizenship. The same path that every other non-citizen has. Apply for a green card the proper way and apply for naturalization the proper way.

Plenty of those "dreamers" are in prison, and in street gangs. Don't buy the "they are all valedictorians and honest hard working people" crap. Certainly some are, but take off the blinders. If 80% are good, then then the other 640,000 are in jobs that belong to U.S. citizens.

Send them back to Mexico with M-16 and fix that corrupt rat hole of a country of theirs.

We're not talking about MS 13 or F 14 ers here.

and the dreamers didn't sneak into the country. The were brought here as children.

I wonder if the Congress could pass a resolution to build the Great Wall of Trump, then just not fund it? According to legend, the Congress fooled Reagan into signing amnesty into law by promising to crack down on illegal immigration. Surely, Trump is as easy to fool as Reagan was, don't you think?

Remember, the fact of the matter is that Congress is not willing to actually put an end to illegal immigration. The illegals are exploitable cheap labor, and their handlers don't want their source of labor to stop. The wall is just a way of fooling the people into thinking they're serious, when they are not.

I'm some OK with the dreamers, but we can't keep having invasions from Mexico every time the economy heats up. They used to be known as "Anchor Babies" before the word police clamped down. It will keep happening over and over if we don't take our borders seriously. I don't know your personal situation, but in California most of the Mexican families are dirt poor to lower middle class, and are adding to the poverty rolls already over populated with other races.

Because they are escaping from poverty they are a much more motivated work force that our citizens, and are often a lot easier to get along with. I'll grant you that. But that does not make it right.

It's about controlling who comes in and who doesn't.

Maybe all the rich Mexicans moved to your town.
