Why is Nothing Done About Illegal Immigration?

Too many votes to lose for the politicans to come right out and say 'lets close our borders'.
Remember, for every illegal here there are 10 that are voters here.
I don't know what to make of it but one thing I know is that they are here and if they need medical attention they should get it.
Education? Well if there here lets at least educate them so they can get off of welfare.
As far as welfare and the rest I think they are getting too much for free while they break our rules.
Arnold Schwarzegger tried to put a stop to the 677 billion dollars Cali spent yearly on them but congress told him Cali had to pay.

The Democrats want their votes and the Republicans want their cheap labor to dilute the work force and the rest of us Pay for all of it.

Reagan promoted illegal immigration, he made it easier and he gave over a million of them blanket amnesty...again to dilute the work force and keep pay down

"For at least 5 years the illegal immigration debate has been on the forefront of American politics and the narrative presented by popular media is that of a nation divided on the question of border control. Routinely organizations that support border control, like the minutemen, are accused of racism and derided for their focus on the Mexican border instead of other sources of illegal immigration.

Despite the personal attacks and biased media coverage the American people have consistently responded to polls in favor of border control strong enough to “halt the flow of illegal immigrants into the US.” In fact a recent Gallup poll pegged the number of U.S. citizens who think border control is important at 94% with 53% saying it was extremely important! This is the highest number this poll has seen since 2006 when a whopping 96% of Americans said border control is important, 43% of which saying it was extremely important."

So why no real push for immigration reform?

it is sad that nothing is being done, but there is no reform needed. The laws are fine. All we need is LAW ENFORCEMENT and a 1900 mile wall.

Illegal aliens = target practice for our border patrol. Two problems solved with one solution. God I'm smart !!!

Try putting up a steel fence (or concrete wall) spanning for a few hundred kilometers, hiring tens of thousands of guards to properly secure it, then hire armies of lawyers to prosecute the illegals. You'll get the gravity of the situation.
You can call it the Great Wall of the US
Besides the economic, political, and technological impossibilities, it will cause an uproar both in and outside the US about racism, legal issues involving international law, and a whole lot of other issues.

This is to rich to pass up. SOUTH KOREAN lecturing USA on border walls........... Look up HYPOCRITE in english.....

and you are talking keeping out the mexican military from invasion. That is not the case. You only need unmanned wall with 500,000 volts on top to keep
out the mexican peasants.

the income inequality in Mexico is astounding. one person (Carlos Slim) has enough wealth to make up five percent of the entire GDP of the country.

and, as is the case in other places, that doesn't work.

Too many people on both sides of isle in DC tossing the salad of illegals and the traitors who hire illegals.

The cause of why there are so many scumbags in office tossing the salad of illegals is because a lot of dumb asses vote for people based on party regardless of how politically opposite the candidate is from them and put their party above their own political views and interests. They will even ignore a candidate who shares most of the views they have because they think that candidate will not stand a chance at winning. This is how a RINO like John McCain can keep getting elected. Even though his tongue in deep in the asses of illegals tossing their salad.

They only way you are going to get politicians who oppose illegal immigration and will actually do something about it is to vote for politicians who oppose illegal immigration and will do something to curb or stop it. You don't do this by voting for scum who toss the salad of illegals just because they are in your party or claim to be a liberal, conservative or what ever. Now this may mean you will have to risk the other guy from the other party winning in order to get someone in the next election who will actually do something about illegal immigration.
HERE! HERE! this is why i'm "writing in ron paul" when i vote.

A vote for ron paul is a vote for the one term Marxist flexible president Barrack Hussein Obama.

so you think mitt romney has a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected? now thats funny!!

We don't have long to wait to know the answer to that question. In four more months we may once again have a chance to restore the nation and heal our economy. The reign of (t)error will be ended.

the EXACT reason for voting ron paul ding! ding!

Illegal aliens are looked upon by our politicans as "prospective voters." It doesn't matter to them whether they are here legally or not or whether they can speak English. All that matters is that they get their vote. Some people out there, across America, aid illegals in how to vote, as to who they, themselves would like to see in office, so are teaching, directing, if you will, the ones they know, on who they should vote for.

Also, if you seriously punish those that are aiding them by either giving them such huge fines and/or tossing them in jail, you will be on your way to solving the problem. Take away whatever amenities they may be getting such as health care, food stamps, rent, heat ext, and they will go back to Mexico. If they aren't aided and abetted all across America, they will have no choice but to return .

The reason they are here is because America is the "land of milk and honey." They want part of it so they can support their families back in Mexico. I don't fault anyone for coming to America and trying to earn a living. I fault them for coming here the way they do and then bringing in their baggage with them. Baggage in the form of crime and draining our funds so they can be appeased because our politicans are spineless wonders that have other agendas they'd rather pursue than trying to find solutions to the illegal problem. Like lining their pockets. Illegals are no better than those that went thru the process of testing to get here legally. It isn't immigration we, the people, have problems with. It's the illegal part that stirs the nation. And if all our illustrious politicians had to live close to our southern border, you can bet there'd be some fast legislation going thru to put a stop to the millions of illegals blatingly walking thru in broad daylight. The situation puts me in mind of someone getting an unknown animal coming right up to their house to eat whatever food may have been left out for their pet. Take away the food, feeding the pet indoors, or in its designated area, and you'd have the unknown animal stop coming around. Stop leaving the cookies out, dangling them in their faces and they'd go back to their own habitat.

When you vote for ron paul you are voting for the one term Marxist flexible president Barrack Hussein Obama. It is a bad idea. When the revolution comes will you defend yourself by saying "Don't shoot me! I voted for Ron Paul!"

And do you think that will save you?
