The diaries of Truman and Patton reveal their true feelings, the things they were not allowed to say publicly. I never said they wished Germany had won the war, I said they regretted some of the results of the war, such as;
"Were it not for the fact that it will be, so far as I am concerned, a kick up stairs, I would like it much better than being a sort of executioner to the best race in Europe.
Later when people wake up to what is going on here, I can admit why I took the job.
Am I weak and a coward? Am I putting my posthumous reputation above my present honor? God how I wish I knew...
P.S. No one gives a damn how well Bavaria is run. All they are interested in now is how well it is ruined."
Patton frequently referred to Germans as the best race in Europe, or the last decent people in Europe. We know what he thought of Russians, Jews, and others he'd helped; he thought they were less noble and less human than Germans. That's the facts Tiger.
Truman was mortified when he learned of the nature of those he'd helped to saved, saying that when it came to brutality and ruthlessness, the Nazis had nothing on the Jews. I wonder if Truman and Patton believed in the '6 million' theory? Probably not.
Churchill is now being lumped in with Hitler by college professors. Yes, there's no moral hierarchy to these types- any white, non-Jewish leader is as bad as Hitler.
So, as I figured, no regrets whatsoever about annihilating Nazi Germany and obliterating your heroes, putting an end to the systematic mass murder they were committing.
Like I said before, Patton was a nut. A good general, but a nut. Your heroes were about as far away form being the “last decent people in Europe” as humanly possible. But hey, we all know what happened to your idols.....they would up dangling from ropes or hiding in holes.
Oh look, another example of Holocaust denial from you. What a surprise....not :roll:
