"A document from the microfilm collection of Colonel General Dmitry Volkogonov Dmitry Volkogonov (Volkogonov Dmitry Papers) in the collection of the Hoover Archives of Stanford University, provided and published by Ph.D. Kirill Alexandrov.

The encryption was sent at dawn June 19 from Moscow to Riga in the name of the commander of the Baltic Special Military District (PribOV), Colonel General Fedor Kuznetsov, with an order to secession the North-Western Front Directorate, which by June 23 was only ordered to be stationed in Ponevezh (Panevezys).

Therefore, it is highly doubtful that the Soviet side could begin military operations on June 22, at a time when the deployment of front-line departments had not yet ended.

On the typewritten document there is a handwritten note with an illegible signature of the person in charge: "The commanders reported at 5. 10. and 9. 30. ordered to report to the headquarters headquarters."

Another handwritten note “Read” (dated 19. 6.) was left by the chief of the operational department and deputy chief of staff of PribOV, Major General Fedor Trukhin, the future creator of the Vlasov army at the final stage of the war.

" M Solonon proved it well many years ago ...

Mark Solonin summarizes his research of the tragic events of the summer of 1941 and provides answers to all the questions which arose after the first two books were published. This work dwells mostly on Soviet material and the technical preparations for the world war, and especially on strategic military planning. By developing Victor Suvorov’s idea, Mark Solonin demonstrates that Stalin prepared a large-scale invasion of Europe, which was to occur in July 1941. A scrupulous analysis of documents and recollections of the participants of the events led to the hypothesis that Stalin changed the date in the very last moment and decided to initiate the assault on June 23rd,1941, and without knowing the fact that Hitler made an anticipatory strike – only one day in advance of Stalin. Viktor Suvorov supposes that Stalin planned to strike Germany in July 1941, but the exact date remained unknown; he had only assumptions. It looks very suspicious that most of the documentary evidences of that period of Soviet military history of 1939 – 1941 are still classified.
Russia has not changed mentally, it just changed its appearance from Communist to would-be-democratic. Its expansionist ideology has remained the same. ...

More food for thought for European leaders. They should finally re-evaluate everything about Russia in order to avoid falling into a trap like in the ‘30s and which in turn lead to the European disaster of 1939 – 1945 with more than 50 million killed during the conflict. Most evidences allows us to assume that Stalin dreamed of combining Russian resources with European technologies in order to achieve world dominance. Whether the Stalinist dream of a Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok under the dominance of Russia will come true or not and whether a World War III in Europe will become a reality depends mostly on the US, Canada and European leaders’ implementation of the new sanctions against Russia in the bank, energy, arms and shipping sectors. Very important that a bill recognizing Ukraine’s as US major non-NATO ally passed. Major non-NATO ally status would entitle Ukraine to broad financial aid from US to buy military equipment and weapons. It confers a variety of military and financial advantages that otherwise are not obtainable by non-NATO countries. EU and NATO shall follow US initiative and pass similar legislative acts and decisions necessary for provision military equipment and weapons to Ukraine."

None of which suggests are successfully argues that Stalin was intending to invade Nazi Germany or Europe.

Arguments that the Soviets were preparing to invade consist mainly of two points: the Soviet Armed Forces were positioned close to the border and that the Soviets had developed a number of offensive armaments and theories that showed they were willing to invade.

Neither of which holds true. To invade Europe and take on what was at the time the most powerful military in the world would have required millions of troops; but the Soviet forces manning the border regions in the summer of 1941 were in fact grossly outnumbered. In fact David Glantz pointed out in Stumbling Colossus that the Red Army in 1941 was still in a state of mobilization; significant forces necessary for any major strategic operation were still nonexistent by the summer of 1941.

And of course, there's simply no documentation to really prove it. Barbarossa provided mountains of evidence, thousands of letters, telegrams, operation orders, minutes, catalogues, and inventory records all showing the Germans were gearing up for a massive strategic operation. There is no Soviet equivalent; proof of their intentions to invade come down to scattered quotes, rumors, and random factoids. The Red Army in 1941 was in fact incapable of any kind of operations, defensive or offensive, hence it's rapid collapse in the summer of 1941. To suggest that the Soviets would attempt an invasion of Europe, with their armed forces in disarray, no in depth planning or preparation, and in fact grossly outnumbered on the border is to suggest a suicidal or insane level of thinking within the NKVD and Soviet government or far more likely the Soviets didn't plan to invade.

That´s a long established fact that is ignored until now by the world for political reasons. The initial success of German army against a way larger force was possible because they rushed into the soviet - Marxist war preparations.

No, the reason the Germans had so much success is because the Soviets weren't prepared for war because they were still mobilizing and upgrading their forces. The Red Army did not see significant expansion until after Germany started invading countries.

And this proves what exactly?

Re: new document proves that Koba-his Marxist gang wanted to attack Germany first " “separation an

The Japanese started WWII in 1937 but no one realised that until later. The Germans started the Invasion of Poland in September of 1939. The French and British then declared war on Germany. Only after this did Soviet troops overrun the Baltic States and invade and then occupy the eastern parts of Poland. Stalin was an incredibly vicious man, but he did not initiate the fighting in WWII. That's on Japan and Germany. Did the Non-Agression Pact set the stage for the invasion of Poland? Yes. But politics is not war by other means; it's the other way around.

Cheers.

.

old man, its an old stalinist- Marxist myth

reality is that Marxist ussr was ready more than ever to conquer the world according Marxist permanent revolution concept

"German forces struck, the bulk of Red ground and air forces were concentrated along the Soviet western borders facing European countries, especially the German Reich and Romania, in final readiness for an assault on Europe.

The ratio of tanks in January 1941 was 22,600 (USSR total in all areas) and 5,261 Germany (total in all areas).
As of July 1, 1941 USSR had 23,103 tanks.

Besides this disproportion, it should be noted that Germany did not have heavy tanks. The most powerful German tank of the first half of World War II was the medium tank Pz-IVA with a 75 mm gun and which did not match with Soviet T-34 tanks (967 in 1941) in its characteristics as well as with KV-1 and KV-2 heavy tanks (611 in June 1941). The USSR also had armoured units using BT-7 tank for swift aggressive assault operations. On field roads, the BT used caterpillar tracks, but when it was on good roads, the heavy tracks were removed and it sped forward on wheels like a racecar (above 70 kilometers per hour which was fast for 1941). BT tanks were not good for the bad roads of Soviet territory. The BT tanks, as specified in Icebreaker (ch3, pdf), could only be used in aggressive warfare, only in the enemy’s rear, and only in a decisive aggressive operation, when hordes of tanks suddenly broke through enemy territory and bypassed points of opposition, thrusting deep behind enemy lines, where there were no enemy troops, but where cities, bridges, factories, airports, ports, storage facilities, command posts, and communication units were located.

Compare the most advanced German tank T-IV or PzKpfw IV in 1941 with Soviet tanks in 1941.
The Red Army had 1,000,000 air assault troops in June 1941 compared with 4,000 in the German army. Airborne troops were to be deployed and dropped behind enemy lines in several waves, each wave consisting of five airborne assault corps (VDKs), each corps consisting of 10,419 men, staff and service personnel, an artillery division, and a separate tank battalion (50 tanks)

Military drills of Soviet assault troops in early 1930s. USSR was the first country which introduced these troops. The founding date of airborne troops considered to be August 2, 1930, the first military drill showing the abilities of this new type of armed forces.

This is just laughably inaccurate.

Per David Glantz, Stumbling Colossus, Page 119

"However, poor training and abysmal Soviet logistical and service support negated the Soviet numerical and technological advantage, as did frequent problems with technical automotive and drive systems (engines and transmissions) on the Soviet models. Numerous archival documents indicate that, on the eve of war, many of the older Soviet tank models had been allowed to fall into disrepair and the new Soviet tanks often were not even bore-sighed and hence, could not fire. Furthermore, many tank crews had not received requisite driver and crew training."

Page 193.

"Second, and more important, many of the aircraft were not combat worthy. Of the 8,472 aircraft assigned to District Air Forces and long-range bomber aviation on 22 June, 1,090 (13%) were inoperable for various reasons. Likewise, of the 7,133 aircraft subordinate to the western military districts, 919 (12.9%) were not combat ready...Third, only 5,937 trained flight crews were available to man the 7,133 aircraft in teh western border military districts, and 1,196 planes remained without crews... In fact, 15 of the 35 reequipped regiments had less than half of their required establishment strength in aircraft."

To suggest that the Soviets were preparing to invade when their tanks were not even ready for combat nor their air force even up to strength is ridiculous.

.....

Although Winston Churchill had proposed the creation of an airborne force to assault behind the German lines in 1917 during the First World War,[2] the first modern operation dates to late 1918. Major Lewis H. Brereton and his superior Brigadier General Billy Mitchell suggested dropping elements of the U.S. 1st Division behind German lines near Metz. The operation was planned for February 1919 but the war ended before such an attack could be seriously planned. Mitchell conceived that US troops could be rapidly trained to utilize parachutes and drop from converted bombers to land behind Metz in synchronisation with a planned infantry offensive.

Following the war, the United States Army Air Service experimented with the concept of having troops carried on the wings of aircraft pulled off by the opening of their parachutes. The first true paratroop drop was by Italy in November 1927.

do you agree that The initial success of Germans against a way larger force (koba´s USSR) was possible because they rushed into the soviet war preparations?

What authors like Surovov and Solinin all fail to grasp apparently is that the Red Army didn't undergo significant expansion until after Germany had conquered most of Europe, and then act as if this rapid Soviet military buildup was completely random and not at all influenced by the fact that a very powerful, publicly anti-communist state who's leader had written an entire book describing a desire to invade East and colonize land for Germans.

And even then their remains no actual evidence of plans for an invasion of Europe by the Soviets. We have the detailed logs of planning for Barbarossa, and a mountain of evidence to back up what went into the planning; there is no equivalent for the Soviets.

No, the reason the Germans had so much success is because the Soviets weren't prepared for war because they were still mobilizing and upgrading their forces. The Red Army did not see significant expansion until after Germany started invading countries.

Yup, plus the purges of all the competent Red Army officers really gutted the officer corps.
