Correction here.

"Manchu China" was not the Han. It was the Qing Dynasty (although that claim could also be made of the Yuan). And like in most ancient empires, it is based upon the family that holds power, not the ethnicity of those in charge.

But the "Manchu" are ethnically Manchurians. Essentially Manchurians who had settled in China in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368 CE), and by 1644 CE were essentially just another subgroup of Chinese.

But the Han Dynasty had collapsed way back in 220 CE, over a thousand years before the Manchurians were more than a minor nuisance.

2) do you mean subgroup of hans? from what i know they lived the separate live from the han population in 50 apartheid cities
