In 1935, Nazi Germany passed two radically discriminatory pieces of legislation: the Reich Citizenship Law and the Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor. Together, these were known as the Nuremberg Laws, and they laid the legal groundwork for the persecution of Jewish people during the Holocaust and World War II.
When the Nazis set out to legally disenfranchise and discriminate against Jewish citizens, they weren’t just coming up with ideas out of thin air. They closely studied the laws of another country. According to James Q. Whitman, author of Hitler’s American Model, that country was the United States.
“America in the early 20th century was the leading racist jurisdiction in the world,” says Whitman, who is a professor at Yale Law School. “Nazi lawyers, as a result, were interested in, looked very closely at, [and] were ultimately influenced by American race law.”

I had no idea that the Nazi's had studied Jim Crow laws.

The genocide of the Armenians also was used by the Nazis. There are a few links; one leads to the M/E forum here.

The Nazis were very big on using American history for their own ends. I read somewhere that they were planning on using the example of the Native American reservations to "deal" with whatever Slavs they didn't feel like outright murdering once they conquered Russia.

Even weirder, the Nazis saw Native Americans as "Aryan", and actually hoped to used them to undermine the United States once Europe was dealt with.

WWII was weird.

Did they feel the same way about Asians?

The Nazis actually pretty friendly to the Chinese until they decided Japan was a more worthy ally.

Well, you did have an multiple entire countries run by genocidal lunatics who thought that ancient space aliens had given them the divine right to run the world.

Didn't they send a military mission to China under one of those Von something or other's?

Hitler was a big fan of evolutionist Darwinist racist Madison Grant, the first Secretary of the New York Zoological Society. Hitler commended Grant on his highly racist book, "The Passing of the Great Race." Hitler called the book his 'bible.'

I assume anytime someone uses three adjectives like this in a row that they're trying to conflate them, as if all "evolutionists" are "Darwinists," and/or all "evolutionists" are "racist."

The Japanese internment camps are a stain on this country. A gross violation of Constitutional Rights.

As for the Nazis, they thought this country was a nation of mongrels, but did use our Indian reservations as a model for the Polish ghettos.

Exactly. Atheists are typically ignorant evolutionists. Evolutionists are typical Darwinists and Darwinist evolutionists have always been hard core racists. Don't tell them Michelle is not an ape, they stupidly think they know better.

You seem nice. Enjoy your brief stay.

Yep, and dropped it once they decided to make Nippon "honorary Aryans".

Which, of course, did them no favors in the long run given Japan's equally psychotic aggression.

But then again, nobody ever accused Hitler of being smart I suppose.

I think Persia/ Iran were "honorary Aryans" as well, but the Allies took care of that pretty quickly.

Drivel.
