Huge fire ripped through Titanic before it struck iceberg, fresh evidence suggests

Re: Huge fire ripped through Titanic before it struck iceberg, fresh evidence suggest

Interesting, perhaps as time goes by we will get more concrete evidence. It's very hard for me to imagine a ship putting out to sea with a "Huge Fire" burning aboard. I realize in 1912 there were very little safety regulations and probably what there were was not rigidly enforced.

Coal bins fires was not uncommon in those days and for the most part not harmful.

In most planes accidents today it is not one thing or one element that cause the lost of the craft but a combination of many factors all working together and the lost of the Titanic was likely also a coming together of many factors at the wrong time.

Perhaps, still interesting.

Furthermore, if your ship is on fire the need for to broadcast a constant stream of SOS messages in blindingly obvious.

...

I'll let someone else have a go with them since I tire easily of these crackpot revisionist scenarios and histories such as posed by OP. Adios.
Not if the fire is in a coal bunker.

Revisionism is how history works, it is how we progress in our knowledge of the past.

Revisionism is not a dirty word. ALL history is revisionist.
