Trump's October health care surprise

Donald Trump will not surrender to Obamacare, even amid a pandemic. The president confirmed Wednesday, the deadline to change the administration’s stance on a lawsuit brought by Republican-run states, that he wants the Affordable Care Act gone. Even Attorney General William Barr has reportedly warned his boss that killing health benefits as the pandemic rages is not a good look. Democrats have seized on the decision, calling it “senseless and cruel” and marking it as a major voter concern — one that may haunt Republicans when the justices convene just weeks before the Nov. 3 election.

Even in the midst of the worst pandemic in 100 years, Trump doesn't forget his major goal: To erase everything Obama accomplished. Never mind that the ACA gives people with pre existing conditions access to modern medicine. Never mind that young people who aren't too likely to find jobs that provide health insurance can stay on their parents' policy until age 26. It doesn't matter that people who are welfare recipients can now get a job without losing health care. The only thing that matters is that Trump satisfy his base by repealing Obamacare. That plan, after all, has Obama's Democrat cooties all over it, and therefore is "liberal" and bad. And Trump/Republicans plan? What plan? There is none.

Republican motto: "Never allow a pandemic to pause the Trump/GOP war on healthcare for Americans."

Healthcare should be for the rich only, they earned it through hard work.

People should stop being poor if they don't want to be poor anymore.

I tell yah, the communists will never stop until we actually have an effective healthcare system that actually works, can't have that, it would be unamerican.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again.

Flashback to 2018:

September: Half of 2018’s Democratic campaign ads are about health care
October: To Rally Voters, Democrats Focus on Health Care as Their Closing Argument
November: Democrats won the House with the largest midterms margin of all time | Health care topped the economy as the biggest issue for voters

Smart election year politics, GOP.

Healthcare will have its place, there is a pandemic.

But the truth is, as its set in for many people that this virus probably won't kill them, the primary issue will be the economy with healthcare intertwined.

But this:

I'm not saying it means Coronavirus or healthcare will take a back seat entirely, but the economy will be for the most part, driving the car for this election.

But the winning strategum is to make sure that you continually say, you will put money into your hands, not corporations hands.

The irony here is that if it were not for Obamacare.. this country's economy would be in worse shape. Imagine millions without healthcare insurance.. going to the hospitals

Rural red states would be crashing right now.

People need to be watching what trump and his minions are doing behind the scenes through the Court's. If his supporters knew he was trying to screw them I wonder how many would wake up Finally. Meh .....

Are the capable of waking up, or are they too far gone already? I suppose we'll find out in November.

Depends on how hard the Dems push it, my guess it will be among a long list of Trump's failures and agenda.

And don’t the rich have a moral obligation to lead by example and benefit the rest of society? They are not entitled to their wealth and success

GOPers are very careful to speak out of both sides of their mouth on this one.

"The good news is that if you lose your employer-provided coverage, which covers about 180 million Americans, then that is a significant life event, which makes you then eligible to sign up for the Affordable Care Act — and as you know, it has a sliding scale of subsidies up to 400 percent of poverty," Cornyn told PBS Austin.

In a press statement, the Texas Democratic Party pointed out that Cornyn has voted 20 times to block, repeal or defund the ACA. If the senator is sincere in telling people to sign up for the program, they add, he should come out in opposition to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's lawsuit before the U.S. Supreme Court seeking to overturn the law.

Honestly... too far gone. I have realized something.. that I don't think the democrats realize. Policy doesn't matter now. Its all about fear and trust. Which person do you fear..and which person do you trust to protect you from that person.

Trump supporters don't care about facts..they care about feelings. Trump says what they want to hear... Trump promises what they want to hear.. policy has nothing to do with it.

For democrats.. To win..they need to stay away from policy... since Trump 1. Has no policy to argue with 2. Any policy the democrats propose gives Trump ammunition to attack them with.

The democrats can only win by eroding the feelings about Trump. Talk about his gaffs.. his lies, hammer him on his outbursts, his incompetence, his adultery, his cronyism,.... attack attack attack.

When Trump says something to attack you... DON:T defend it... because it just creates more time its on the news cycle.... Laugh it off as the rantings of a liar... and go back on the attack.
