Your Trump guy said to his followers in some states to "liberate" themselves by defying health care provisions of COVID-19. Well, some of the masses out there were wearing their masks and haz mat suits chanting. If these people become sick due to their defiance I see no reason for doctors or nurses to treat them. They can be prosecuted for being disease spreaders.
It's a good question.
Ironically, Ayn Rand's romantic fantasy books, Atlas Shrugged in particular, was a fantasy of just that. The big capitalists who were so tired of the "parasites" (aka working class people), trying to use guberment to "steal" from them, that they took their amazing ideas that apparently the CEOS themselves created and engineered (lol), and hid away in a super secret utopia.
The fantasy here is that if we did like Rand did, we'd take away all socially-created good, and let them "fend for themselves" in their selfish, "survival of the fittest" nonsensical claims. They'd dangle their worthless money, and would be rejected because they refused to keep others safe...their money would be worthless because they have agreed they don't; give a **** about anyone but their own family and friends (at least two posters have recently confirmed this). So doctors would say, yeah, I don't know you..you put me at risk, you put others at risk...good luck...get one of your selfish buddies to help you.
But of course, that's not right.
We have to love life, including all others, in the philosophical context. I don't; know Rush Limbaugh, but I love him and his family and hope they stay safe and live a full life. I don't like him, I probably hate how he spends his time, but as a human, I still love him. That's not a contradiction, and it's not that complicated either. Even laday gaga gets it, she's espousing this right now on ABC.
But some don't get it, and we still gotta love those turds. /preach
