In the current climate, would you still eat in restaurants--small business type or fancy places? I am not talking about the mass market, fast food.

Better stay away from crowds for now. I hate crowds more than coronavirus, but that has something to do with my nationality, I guess  (Finland is anti-social hellhole anyway).

I had breakfast at Rick's Cafe yesterday and a late lunch at the golf course.

For those that lock themselves away...fine! I understand the reasoning behind it..

But my experience says that if it's your turn, it's your turn. No amount of hiding is going to protect you.

I’ve been in Scandinavia eating at a lot of restaurants.

I’m not worried. I will probably stop eating at restaurants when I get home though

Rubbish, says your Swedish neighbour. Finns are not anti-social and Finland is about as far away from a hellhole as one can get.

Ask me again when I emerge from self isolation, maybe in three or four months time.

But you have no 'experience' of it being 'your turn' - you are still alive after all. I hope you remain so for a long time, in spite of your reckless attitude.

Damn it, you spoiled that one. I like to see how many on this forum are able to swallow that. There's tiny part truth when it comes to anti-social as our calm non-small talk society is easily seen anti-social by foreigners.

People thinking negatively about Finland isn't that bad at all, you know. Better stay away from all statistics so this narrative is working and not get debunked. Sweden, my lovely friend, next time keep your fingers off from keyboard and let my sick sarcasm alone :)

I don't know about that

What if General Custer had listened to his Indian scouts when they warned of, "They had never seen such a large Indian village" before?

Then.... General Custer said just before he got killed out on the battle field " Look a all those ****ing Indians!!!(LOL)

Yes I will eat in restaurants. Don't remember Americans freaking out before when we were hit with a new virus in the past. Not sure why this time is so different. I say this while acknowledging that this flu is dangerous for the elderly and conically ill.

Be careful. I might migrate - but only as far as Åland. The thought of having to learn Finnish fills me with dread.

(Note for Yanks: Finnish is a VERY difficult language. Which is why the Finns don't talk to each other that much; the effort of stringing a few words together in a grammatical way is seldom worth the effort).
