Medicare For All: Popular....Until People Know What It Could Mean

A plan that offers a copay for a doctor visit is the equivalent of homeowners insurance helping cover the cost of mowing your lawn. There are many improvements that are costly as hell that arent covered your home insurance. Try replacing your roof or repaving your driveway or replacing your flooring or cabinets.

Basically what you are saying is most of us pay for insurance we probably will never use. That sounds like a good deal to me.

Mitch McConnell will not lead the Senate much longer if he is up for re-election. He is rated one of the worst or least popular Senators on a Top 10/Bottom 10 webpage. (Sorry, I forget which website I saw this on.) Because a Democrat won Kentucky's governor race, there is hope he will continue to lose support. I will pray for his challenger to win no matter who that is.

20% tax increase to the poor? That's not going to happen.

The middle class will foot the bill all over again to spread the wealth just like the ACA.

No, increased taxes for the rich who can afford to pay them would be the answer. Who ever said the poor (who often are unemployed and do not own properties) will even be taxed for their health care?

The middle class will take it in the shorts.....again.

You're lying, obviously.

Pro tip: buy insulin from Mexico/Canada and save some money.

Well, I was being serious about our diabetic patients. They do get screwed.

Not everyone has access to meds over the borders.

I knew that already. People should move closer to borders if they are diabetic (stupid, right?). I don't get it why people have to pay so much - as diabetic can't live without insulin. It's just really, really, weird to me.

So u been in the business for 43 years... huh?

How do you think health insurance companies afford these outrageous medical Bill's that can cost up to 100k in some cases? Seems like a lot of money?

Medicare for all would being more business to healthcare facilities and cost the average taxpayer less in healthcare cost...

Ur just trying to keep your job, but understandable

I'd tell them that their medical expenses are covered like in other first world countries.[/QUOTE

Right.. so you just told them.. that just like in Canada.. they don't have coverage for their outpatient medications.. from their government insurance....

And on top of that.. they are paying more in taxes

When previously.. under Medicaid they DID have their outpatient medications paid for.. and they didn't have to pay any taxes for it.

So basically.. you are misrepresenting the facts to them. You have made their situation worse.. but have claimed that their "medical expenses would be paid like other countries".. and failing to point out.. that those other countries DO NOT PAY FOR THOSE MEDICAL EXPENSES.

ITs how the other countries do it...

I ma õt talking about any country except mine here. How do AMERICANS do it?

There is only one possible answer. If rich people get tax breaks and the middle class doesn't, rich people get richer and poor people get poorer every hour of every day.

Well.. actually that's not true since we have a progressive tax system.. and we run deficits.. so the tax system has little to do with the rich getting rich and the poor getting poorer.

But anyway your reply is irrelevant. What my point was..that in all the systems that other countries do... you know the ones that liberals say we should emulate? They pay for their healthcare single payer..with making the poor and the middle class pay more in taxes.

Doesn't it seem to be a bit of an intellectual disconnect.. for liberals to say "look what other countries do".. and want to emulate that other countries system to get this healthcare savings... but then in the next breath... NOT want to emulate that very system when its pointed out the downsides to that system for the poor and middle class?"..

If other countries make the poor poorer, they are not liberal. They are socialist. That is not democracy, but a totally different government and different political party. Republicans call Democrats socilaists because they don't know this and think liberals want the most government control possible without being communist, which is obviously not true.

I hate it when people say, "Look at what other countries do." They don't have a separation of powers with Congress, a President, and a Supreme Court. Some of them are royal. None of them have the same Constitutional laws.
