Unfortunately, no such federal response has emerged regarding another public health emergency, which quietly takes its toll on America’s adolescents and adults every day — the public health crisis of pornography.

Research demonstrates that pornography exposure among adolescents is nearly universal.

It's sad to reflect back on all I missed in the years before the personal computer, but I do recall pretty racy paperback books on racks in the paper store around the corner from the front entrance to my college in the 60s. I guess I belonged to the forgotten generation - forgotten by lurid porn after a few key strokes.
I'm man enough to admit that my knee-jerk reaction was to oppose your thread based on freedom of expression....but....I was 5 years old when I found my father's porn collection and as an adult, I can say it absolutely had a negative impact on my development. While I don't think more regulation is necessary, parents need to be more aware of what their children have access to and take steps to keep the content they view age appropriate.
Vaccines, because it's not always about you.

Can you even name 5 current rappers? The ones young people are listening to?

    I can.

I can also recall when "All you need is love" was condemned as the music of Satan from the pulpits of America.

But you've got a study that proves the type of music one listens to determined how violent they will be.

i love practicing not judging women by the clothes they may not be wearing on the Internet and trying to port it to real life whenever i have the presence of mind to do so.

Its all relative: When growing up in the 60's, it was the revealing choice of underclothes the women were modeling in 'Porn For The Kiddies,' - the Sears catalog. The "intimate Apparel" section was as arousing and informative to a curious 13 Y/O boy as any book (with illustrations) that could be found in the anatomy section of the Public Library or under Uncle George's bed. Since most all formative-years teenage males think about sex constantly anyway, the explicitness of imagery was optional.
