The right is telling you that your taxes will be doubled to pay for Medicare for all.

As usual the right are being twisted into little knots by the people who control their party and them, Every company and person who makes massive fortunes keeping us healthy and I say that with a chuckle. It's more like keeping us as sick as possible but still alive to give them our money.
So they are told that the middle class will have to dive into this to pay for it. Then they say it will cost 26 trillion over the next decade. This is the bull**** part, right now 3.5 trillion is already being paid for by the individual, the insurance company's or the government(that's the amount in the pot now without raising a dime in taxes).. So they don't need the money they claim, in fact in most studies it will cost less then that for 2020. It is expected to increase at a massive 5.5 % per year over the next decade. Many are suggesting that it will cost 7 trillion at the end of the decade.
The business world will tell you always about the improved profitability through increased production. That is until it has a negative effect on their bottom line, as in medicare for all. Now its the whore of putting it all in a single basket but still something they strive for all the time in business.

I don't know where this false concept came around where anyone is entitled to healthcare for free-----especially people who are here in the country illegally.

Compassion for your fellow human beings, little hard to explain it to a group that operates on me only and hatred. You are as ugly as your list of things you hate, your list, like every single one from your hate group you call a party is long, mine is very short, just you and the likes of you that are this country biggest threat and enemy.

It's easy to be compassionate when you're spending other people's money.

Every single country in the world with UHC, without exception, pays dramatically less per capita than we do and dozens rank higher in quality of care, Healthcare outcomes, life expectancy and many other metrics.

Not sure why you guys are always so keen on paying more to get less while pretending you're not. Your question should be how can we afford not doing it.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Other countries also pay for medical training, buy major big ticket items for hospitals and doctors, and many of those countries tax their citizens at near 50%. They might also have high VAT taxes as well. And they don't have 50% of workers paying NO federal taxes.

ALL expenses considered they still pay way less than we do per capita yet many achieve better outcomes. You're just making excuses for our failures instead of admitting we have a lot of room for improvement.

No, they don't. It appears that way because they are structured differently and are generally healthier than Americans. You don't see many fat people in Europe, while Americans are among the fattest people on earth. That makes a huge difference in health care costs.

That is an objective lie from someone with an obvious agenda. No country in the world pays anywhere near what we pay per capita and that is a fact.

Depends on how you do the accounting. And the health of your population.

No it doesn't. No matter how you do the accounting no country on earth pays anywhere near what we do per capita. This is an objective fact.

No..its not an objective lie.

its also a fact that things like obesity, sedentary lifestyles, stress levels... work hours.. fewer vacations etc... which americans have.. also effects both our health outcomes and our costs.

Britain has about the highest rate of obesity in Europe.. roughly 27.8 percent

The National Center for Health Statistics estimates that, for 2015-2016 in the U.S., 39.8% of adults aged 20 and over were obese (including 7.6% with severe obesity

n addition to its serious health consequences, obesity has real economic costs that affect all of us. The estimated annual health care costs of obesity-related illness are a staggering $190.2 billion or nearly 21% of annual medical spending in the United States.1 Childhood obesity alone is responsible for $14 billion in direct medical costs. Obesity-related medical costs in general are expected to rise significantly, especially because today’s obese children are likely to become tomorrow’s obese adults.2,3 If obesity rates were to remain at 2010 levels, the projected savings for medical expenditures would be $549.5 billion over the next two decades.4

So? We have already pointed out how and why. And its NOT for the most part because we don't have Medicare for all.

Its because.. 1. Our population demographics are worse.
2. We pay people more in the US
3. We have more choice in the US.
4. We don't cost shift our costs.. like medical education costs.. out of healthcare and into public education costs.. like other countries do.

Those are the major reasons that our healthcare costs more.
