Universal health-care is within reach (everywhere except the US)

Not in Germany. Any procedure the doctor of my choice recommends, I get. Subjecting yourself to being arbitrarily rejected by your health insurer just because you're afraid of a little regulation doesn't make it better.

highly doubt it.

That would mean that there is no regulation of what procedures can be done and would be extremely vulnerable to fraud and abuse.

You simply don't realize that there is regulation of what procedures get paid for and thus your physician likely only recommends those that they know will be allowed and reimbursed..

If it's a legitimate procedure recommend by a doctor, yes I will get it no questions asked. It will not be subject to consideration of my age, the cost, or the whims of any individuals.

In the US prior to Obamacare if you paid for insurance for 4 decades then contracted something expensive, your insurance company could arbitrarily reject you just to save themselves money. For some reason you prefer to put your life and the life of your family in the hands of a private board of executives looking to maximize their own profits. No thanks, a little regulation to protect consumers is a good thing.

Enjoy paying double what I do for health care to get quality ranked in the 30s world wide, far lower than mine.

well you said it.. a "legitimate procedure recommended by the doctor". And that means that those procedures are reviewed for their medical necessity. Otherwise there would be financial incentive for doctors to provide unnecessary medical procedures.

and there is consideration of your age..the cost and yes.. the whims of the individuals that make up what is considered medical necessity.

In the US.. insurance companies can not arbitrarily reject you just to save themselves money. Insurance regulations don't allow that. However, its difficult to ascertain their reasons for rejection and often there is no good or consistent process for resolving claims which gives insurance companies a huge advantage. And that's not just private insurance companies.. but for government insurance plans as well.

In fact.. government plans are usually the worst.. particularly the VA and Medicaid.

For some reason you prefer to put your life and the life of your family in the hands of a private board of executives looking to maximize their own profits.

Actually yes. because that profit motive means they want to keep me as a client or others as clients which means they don't want to screw me over too bad or I will switch insurance and give them a bad name. Or just switch and at least get covered. .

Meanwhile a government insurance I would have no such recourse. Yes.. I prefer to put my life in the hands of a private board.. then say put my life in the hands of TRUMP. Tell me why you trust TRUMP.. more than a group of executives that actually might care about their public perception and their company?

And the reason I pay double is because your COMPANY is paying for it.. and is basically taking it out of what would have been available for your salary.

I have access to the best healthcare in the world by the way.. since I have excellent insurance and live in America.

What can I say? Learn how to read?

You don't like the conclusion when it slaps the truth in your face: Americans are paying for the most costly privatized Health-care system on earth and the result is a Life-span 3-years less than in Europe that has a National Healthcare System at half the American total cost per capita.

What is it about that conclusion that YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND?

Don't know what you are on about. Neither do you or you wouldn't be writing it ...

I listed items that corrupt this kind of a one-measure study. If you choose to ignore them, that's your choice. Ignoring data precludes the opportunity to enact appropriate corrections.

America has a pretty amazing healthcare complex that is very costly. It is a part of the world healthcare complex and all of it works the way it works.

Capping incomes of folks not involved in regulating everyone else is key to the commie freak show to which you refer.

Right, you obviously like getting shafted by the medical profession.
