Please click the link 🡹. The article contains informative text and images pertaining to GOP Senator positions on the GOP Cassidy-Graham healthcare bill monstrosity.

Note: Republican bill sponsors Sens. Bill Cassidy (La.) and Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.) have given more money to Alaska and Maine — two of whose GOP senators, Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine), respectively — have expressed concerns but not yet declared how they would vote on the measure.

Attempted bribery is alive and well in the US Senate.

Aren't Republicans supposed to be against "pork"?

Bribery? Who paid whom how much? I don't believe you. I think you are using legal terms incorrectly and slanderously.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Rule number 1 of "pork". It's only bad when the other team does it. When my team does it it's for a good cause.

Oh I get it now! It's like playing golf is bad when Obama does it, but when Trump does it it's okay.

Very good. Next time I'll tell you about all the millions of people who listened to Rush Limbaugh call Michelle Obama "Moochelle" for 8 years and thought it was the best thing ever but now think that saying a bad word about the first lady is unpatriotic.

A majority of the public supports single payer. The donor/"job creator" class, the corporate state and Wall Street do not. The end.

We do however have the most professional plastic surgery work ever in the white house.

Once more "free" federal money starts flowing to states (or districts) it is hard to get congress critters not to increase the flow, harder still to get them to slow it down and outright impossible to get them to stop it. Federal control and funding of "private" medical care is here to stay folks and neither the party for a bigger federal government nor the party for a huge federal government is going to change that. Medicaid has already been expanded and Medicare expansion is the talk of the town and our moron in chief has said that he favors covering everyone.

Senator Bill Cassidy said:
“If there’s a billion more going to Maine . . . that’s a heck of a lot. It’s not for Susan, it’s for the Mainers.”

An extra billion for lucky Maine. It's just happenstance and coincidence that he desperately needs Susan's vote. The swamp in action.

good. it's a ****ty bill that would hurt a lot of people.

Sen. Susan Collins says 'no' to Graham-Cassidy bill, essentially killing Obamacare repeal

Senator Susan Collins (R/MA) effectively told Sens Cassidy-Graham to shove their bribery money ... she's voting no.

The bill would also overhaul the traditional Medicaid program and replace it with a per-capita grant program. Collins said the bill's changes to Medicaid would "have a devastating impact." Collins also said she had issues with the Graham-Cassidy waiver system, which she said would "weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions." “The CBO’s analysis on the earlier version of the bill, incomplete though it is due to time constraints, confirms that this bill will have a substantially negative impact on the number of people covered by insurance," Collins said in a statement.

Thank God there still remains a few shreds of integrity in the Congressional GOP.

McConnell yanked the bill, so the thread topic is correct. Just remember, this is a zombie bill. Just because it died several times before doesn't mean it won't rise up at a later date and pass. Time to double-tap this bill.
