The idea that ACA was rammed through Congress was a favorite talking point of the right. Ultimately, the bill went through multiple revisions and was discussed for about 8 months. There is a lot of content online that shows different individuals telling the public how the bill would work (some used in the Supreme Court Case).

Is the idea of healthcare changes that impact a large % of the US GDP being rammed through Congress still an issue on the right or did that complaint disappear?

shrug...

I don't know what the "right" says, but I have always taken...and still take...issue with increased government control over personal decision-making powers. When you get right down to it, THAT is what the Democrats did with Obamacare.

Now...in regard to "ramming it through Congress", yes...the Democrats did exactly that. The whole process of passing that bill was designed to get it done regardless the concerns of anyone opposed to it...from either party.

You mean telling lies about how the bill was SUPPOSED to work.

Not a defense of the "rammed through" narrative. Concession of that point is accepted.

I can't really say much about this law. I haven't read it like I had ACA. But they have been debating and working and reworking this legislation. Correctly viewed one might say that ACA was part of the discussion that has brought us to this point in a long term societal process.

Also with lies knowingly given because it wouldn't have passed if people knew the truth.

I did not keep my doctor.

He said you can keep your doctor. This was based on the criticism that EBIL GUBMINT would be controlling which doctors you can see. That was a false right-wing narrative.

Nobody claimed your doctor would be forced forever to take you as a client.
