My simple solution to healthcare

THIS view is unamerican. We are a nation of individuals with a shared interest in defending our lives from invaders, to secure FREEDOM and pursue hapiness, whether thats self interest or communal. You are the one who should leave America if you want to force youre socialism on the rest of us.

Actually unhealthy nations are more likely to be massive police states.

People are more likely to listen to authoritarian figures when they don't have basics.. like food and healthcare.

Yeah but we need one to defend the country from invasion. Also national health care, high speed trains, centralized internet, basic income, and solar panels.

How do you arrive at that?

Its pretty easy to make an argument that if your population is sick and unhealthy.. its hard to fight off an invasion. (which is why there are developments of biological weapons, and methods of defense against them)

Please make the argument that we specifically need solar panels to fight off an invasion.. or basic income.. or high speed trains.

I arrived at that by extrapolating that ANY expense can be justified as national defense. We dont actually have to debate or vote about it. Just claim it and we're there. National health care is neccesary for national defense, therefore so are solar panels, cause i said so.

Well.. you have not been able to defend that extrapolation.

I can pretty easily make a case though that a healthy population can defend itself better than one that's sick.

Make the case for basic income helping to defend from invasion.

Otherwise retract your statement.

I dont have to. Thats the big govt way. Just do whatever you want regardless of what the law says. We all need cell phones, cause national defense.

When the majority of their congress critters voted for it to become the law of the land - just like all other federal spending. I would bet that you voted for Trump who promised a program to replace PPACA and cover "everybody" - did you think that he meant without federal assistance?

Sure they are.. that how insurance works. If you take out a policy tomorrow.. and then 2 weeks later.. you get diagnosed with cancer.. and have 100,000 in medical bills.. I guarantee you did not "pay".. everyone else with insurance is who payed that bill.

So then the INSURER paid according to the payment I made to them. No one else's property was taken to cover my expenses, as would happen with single payer.

No.. the insurer DID not pay according to he payment you made them. You DID NOT in 2 weeks pay 100,000 dollars in premium to cover your cancer bill of 100,000. YOU did not put in 100,000 dollars in premiums in two weeks of your policy.

Every one elses "property" was taken to pay for your medical bills by the insurer. that's HOW they could cover it. That's how insurance works.
