He's got a point.

Former House speaker John A. Boehner, who has mostly avoided public commentary since leaving Congress two years ago, told a business gathering last week that Republicans are “not going to repeal and replace Obamacare” because “the American people have gotten accustomed to it.”

“Here we are, seven months into this year, and yet they’ve not passed this bill. Now, they’re never — they’re not going to repeal and replace Obamacare,” Boehner told a private crowd in Las Vegas, according to video footage obtained by The Washington Post. “It’s been around too long. And the American people have gotten accustomed to it. Governors have gotten accustomed to this Medicaid expansion, and so trying to pull it back is really not going to work.”

Ted Cruz told us that when he tried to fillibuster final implementation of obamacare

Because he knew how spineless the RINO's in congress are

and how greedy the voters are

Yeah those greedy poor people with pre-existing conditions, how DARE they not want their premiums to rise to the point they get can't pay for their healthcare. We should instead give tax breaks to the rich, yeah that's the ticket for compassion.

The sad sacks on medicaid don't have to pay premiums

They get free stuff from dawn till dark

lol...it took Pence to break a tie just to bring this repeal garbage up for debate. JB is right. It will never pass.

My 92 year old father who fought on Guam and Iwo and was in a Nursing Home the last year of his life(cost about $100,000 a year so Medicaid picked up most of that cost) was a real sad sack.

You should be ashamed and embarrassed. But I'm KNOW you're not. THAT is what is so sad about people like you, you have no shame.

If Boehner has a point, he just grew it recently.

I am not ashamed at all since many people do abuse they system

But strangly not a single lib who posts on the Internet

The may not have to pay Medicaid premiums but they (actually their estate) may end up (re)paying 100% of those "free" Medicaid services. In other words, they may be reducing their estate dollar for dollar for any and all care that Medicaid provided to/for them. Their will may say that the kids get the house, car and other assets but only after Medicaid (via the state) is fully repaid.

Yeah.. those dang seniors and disabled people.. not to mention the children.. which make up the vast majority of Medicaid benefits.

So true.. and wait.. you get to be told that your father must have "made poor choices".. that's why he couldn;t save enough to pay for 100,000 dollars a year.

Yeah we see Compassionate Conservatism here almost daily at it's finest.

The only thing I can ask for is that this bill dies by a thousand amendments.

IDK anymore. The moderate Republicans have absolutely no balls in the GOP anymore. They have been rolling over for the rabid right wing for 10+ years. The nationalists racists run the party now. Trump is the proof of that.

Many people - some by design - live from day to day and have no estate for the government to seize

I have a similar story with my British war-bride Mother but I won't waste it on you. I suppose my 30-year Military Father in Veteran's Homes at the end of his life was also a 'sad sack'.

You don't know the first thing of how difficult it is to actually pull the plug on an Alzheimer's parent, fighting the hospital to let him go to stop wasting so much federal money because they can soak tri-care-for-life .

Seniors have medicare

As for truly disabled people there is less money for them because so many able bodies goldgricks are mooching off the system

Darn those poor parents of mine from the depression era, given to us by your GOP .

trump is out trashing Sen. Murkowski today for her vote. He's completely intimidated the GOP in our March to becoming a banana republic .

Sounds like you've been through this, just like me. I do see the day coming shortly where children of Medicaid parents are means and asset tested to kick in more $$$, and I don't mind that, as I would pay more for my Mother in a heart beat .

Medicare doesn't pay for long term nursing home costs for Seniors. Too bad you didn't know that. Medicaid pays for those free-loading seniors lying in bed from dusk to dawn, dying, abusing the system.

You are uninformed and deplorable.

Like I pointed out in another thread, in the 6-7 months he's been Prez he's trashed everyone, the Dems, the Republicans, the Intel agencies, our Allies, our trading partners... Everyone, except 1 group. The racist Nationalists that are sticking by him no matter what he does, no matter how much he lies, no matter how many our rights he threatens. That's the 35% he needs to keep the GOP intimidated.

You forgot Putin and the Russians, Erdogan, the Polish nationalist, and all the other dictatorial strong men across the globe, which he envisions himself as .

Heaven forbid the Congress pass a bill that creates a system that improves the lives of Americans.

Medicare doesn't cover nursing homes -- and I think that was explained to you before, yet, you repeat the same talking point.

Why do you feel a need to defend the moral "injustice" of the rich paying a tax that helps other Americans get life-saving health care? Don't the rich have paid lobbyists to protect their needs?
