Shifting Dollars From Poor to Rich Is a Key Part of the Senate Health Bill

And what does it make GOP senate bill? An abomination? A monstrosity?cruelty?

What? I was speaking towards the Glass-Steagall act. The act itself never really accomplished its goal and by the time of its repeal was already undermined by court rulings and an economy that needed an updated law so it could move forward like the rest of the world.

Commercial and investment Banks needed to be kept separate because they are interested in completely different goals.

I'm sure your semantic arguments will be extremely fascinating to someone whose course of treatment is cut off by this bill. I personally find them tedious.

thanks for admitting that you don't understand that simple concept.
the poor lose nothing since it wasn't theirs to lose.

LOL.. Bull****.

We've discussed the 2008 crash many times here. From Phil Gramm's and the GOP's WS deregulation legislation that Bill Clinton signed. To the rating agencies stamping AAA on garbage. To the WS banks lying and committing forgery.. To the borrowers borrowing more that they could afford. PLENTY of blame to go around.

It had nothing to do with deregulation but expanding the loan program to support more people than it was supposed to.
it also had to do with fannie and Freddie saying they would back any and all mortgages as home prices began to soar making lending
out loans more risky.

The ratings agencies were getting the mortgages from Freddie and fannie as they were the ones that packaged them.
they knew that the loans were garbage that but that didn't stop them from selling it off.

Funny thing is the rabid partisan hacks like you ALWAYS just blame the borrowers and the Dems. You refuse to blame the big boys, the banks, the rating agencies, the predator loans.... You guys NEVER never learn.

You calling someone a partisan hack is laughable. I put plenty of blame on republicans for not getting Freddie and fannie under control despite all the objections.
yet it was fannie and Freddie coupled with looser lending laws forced on banks to loan more money that was the main cause.

no you don't.

That's my whole point, until people like you learn that the GOP is NOT your friend, they only care about their rich donors who people like you DEFEND every time. Nothing will improve for the Middle Class.

you completely miss the hypocrisy of your own post.

It's the American dream to keep your own property? Sure, that sounds pretty cool. The founding fathers did after all revolt over taxes.

Then they found out quite quickly that things fall apart if people are not forced to pay them in adequate amounts.
