Universal Health Care

I am exempt, I'm retired. What about universal healthcare paid for by a standard payroll deduction, similar to Social Security? A higher deduction from those making above a certain amount. Spitballing here.....

I think the problem with your suggestion is that way too many American's feel they deserve better healthcare than the guy next door or the guy who doesn't earn as much or the guy who just lost his job or the guy who lives in poverty or the guy (fill in the blank). Universal Healthcare would mean everyone having access to the exact same care regardless of income, paid tax, age, sex, race, etc. It would also mean getting rid of all the health insurance companies who have over-inflated the costs of basic health care to the point that most people are being priced out of it and if the GOP has their way with their new Trumpcare that priced out group of people will be a "yuge" number of people who shouldn't be treated differently or priced differently because of things out of their control like getting old for example.

I believe in healthcare for people, and I don't think the government shouldn't have a role in it.
But I'm sorry, I don't think EVERYBODY deserves healthcare.

If a person refuses to get a job or chooses to smoke crack (which should be legal by the way) that we should have to pay for them.

And at least not EVERYTHING should be covered.

How are you paying for it? You don't have a job, unless you were lying the other day when you said you live home with a Father you hate because he threatened to call the police over your drug habit. You said you've been working on getting a job so you can move out. Who pays for your drug habit? Kinda pathetic that you have no qualms about stating how much you hate your father but you have no problems continuing to live under his roof, likely eating food he paid for and taking advantage of all of the amenities there.

First of all, I do get money of my own, I just don't got a consistent job yet.
I still get along with my mom.

Why are you even bringing up my personal life...

Besides, I wouldn't be paying for it anyway because I don't live in a country with universal healthcare fortunately. But unfortunately, I'm gonna have to pay soon if we don't get rid of this ACA and it's fine.
I don't need heathcare.
