Healthcare Solutions

I sincerely do not understand the thinking behind someone trusting government with their healthcare. That just blows my mind when you look at the unsustainable Medicare/Medicaid and the mess the VA healthcare is in. Folks at the moment there are more riding inside the cart than those who are pushing it along. It is unsustainable.

The best thing that could happen to healthcare is to get the government the heck out of it.

Medicaid was started for the disabled, those who can not work and pay their own way. Today it has evolved into something it was never meant to be. In several states 50% + of new births are Medicaid babies.

It occurs to me that Republicans spoke a few times about allowing customers to reach past state-lines to increase competition and lower cost. Forgive me if this has already come up, but why can't we do that for The ACA?

Putting the guts back in, whatever this means, kind of like closing loopholes; closing loopholes and putting the guts back in (now that Obama is gone from the Presidency.)

It's a lot less painful than what happened today. The GOP and trump lost by time for not working with the Dems on this. Vice versus the Dems lost big in the past for not working with the GOP.

They didn't need the Dem's they lost by failing to produce a product that appealed to the American people.

Because the American people want Obamacare tweaked not repealed.

I've no response, because that didn't make any sense. Maybe it was my fault?

Yes, that's why they fired the authors of Obamacare across the board and rejected the standard bearer of Obamacare in favor of the guy saying "repeal it"

No, it's kind of obscure, I'm saying with only one insurer in each state it doesn't help much to go across state lines and I lead off by saying what I think is the solution.

This is what they might think during election, but when the rubber hits the road the fact is still the same, "you can't get any better than Obamacare," it's like the King James Bible.

When the GOP put up a bill that costs more and covers less than the ACA that was a failure. Period. People have said it's easier to tweak it than repeal and replace. 2018 will show that when the GOP suffers for trying to screw Americans that voted for Trump and eventually in 2020 when trump suffers for his lies and agreeing with trying to screw Americans.

Heck, I suffer just having to listen to his lies! Well written, Praxas.

I meant that citizens are unable to shop across state-lines for better plans, and allowing it might increase competition and lower cost. If you have a better plan, that's cool. I was only making a suggestion Republicans might get behind.

I suggest that speaks more toward the United States government than a rap against universal health care.

I doubt I would trust these clowns

The well is very poisoned, I don't see a way out that's not very painful.

Most days I feel the same way, but on some days I am more optimistic---like on days when I hear Newt Gingrich propose something that actually sounds reasonable.

Some days, people can surprise you.
