the south gets it wrong again

Oh look, more propaganda from the left about the boondoggle known as, "Obamacare".

Most of the newly "insured" under "Obamacare" are due to the Medicaid expansion. This could've been done without turning the medical system upside down.

Not to mention that many cannot afford the deductibles under the plans that they actually can afford.

Deductibles are going up again after January.

Typical liberal rubbish. They place people under a program and take credit for the numbers, and then ignore the fact that just as many people are still going broke by using the program.

It is truly amazing that making things "free" (Medicaid expansion) lets more folks afford them. Some were not so sure about that so they did a study. ;)

they didnt make anything free, more right wing anti facts

Yep, then there's people like my daughter, a single mother of two who cannot afford insurance at all. So what does the, "we're for the little guy" left do to help her? Levy a fine she can't afford either.

Yep, "free" stuff is affordable as long as taxes are raised to pay for it. Of course, that "bad part" of PPACA (the Cadillac plan tax) was "postponed".

Bull****. Furthermore, the data for "newly insured" isn't even hard data. They come up with these numbers by polling. Why is that? Why not get the actual numbers from insurance providers? Hmmmm

As long as people pay their own insurance it is not so bad. Having to force people to take insurance out is a devastating statement of the attitude of "The People".

I largely agree with you but how do you deal with people that use the ER as a clinic that dont or cant pay?

your post is dishonest. the numbers are easy to google.

varies by income level. your post was incorrect

It "can" vary by income level but that is up to the states. Which state(s) does this?

States have the option to impose higher, alternative premiums on other groups of enrollees, if their family incomes exceed 150% of the federal poverty level. Certain groups, such as institutionalized individuals and most children, are excluded from higher cost sharing.

I have a part time helper who's been struggling for a while. He's is in the same predicament as your daughter. I have called him many times when things weren't looking good on particular jobs I've done. He never said no, and would hang right there with me right through cleanup and packing everything away. I stroked him a $1200.00 check last week to help with his medical plan, and get a few "prezzies" for the kids. Money well spent! I'm trying to get him on with a large general contractor in our area where I know most of the superintendents. It's hard because all the GC's use Mexican sub crews these days, and keep their in house crews to a minimum. 10 years ago, they would have a 150 workers on the payroll.

this is a chance to learn how to google buy in the end the distinction isnt relevant.

Treat the use of ER without insurance as fraud or aggravated theft, if the bill is not paid.

The same way that you deal with people that don't pay for any other good/service that they take/use.

It shouldn't be a surprise that a far left progressive organization like the Commonwealth Fund would create a report like that cited by the Obamacare shill Noam N. Levey.

Missing are salient points regarding affordability of coverage for all, the collapse of exchanges in many markets, and the escalating costs of insurance for those who must subsidize those who can't afford it.
