AR 15's are the favorite of mass shooters. AR's are direct copies of the military M-16, slightly modified for civilian use and designed for easy customization.

1) AR's are only favored by some mass shooters and not most. People like you have done everything possible to influence nutcases that they ought to use AR 15s

2) what sort of firearms did the founders contemplate in the second amendment

3) why are you happy having the civilian police use "military weapons" in our civilian neighborhoods

The less one knows about firearms, the more likely they are to be anti gun.

It is actually you who want to do that, by allowing a gun supply system that permits mass shooters to gun down innocent, unarmed people.

Because his goal is about controlling you, me and our freedoms not about protecting people. If they wanted to protect people they would have done something to stop crime in places like Chicago and NY. Instead they use those people as fodder to advance their gun grabbing. They need to disarm people like me before they can ever truly take our freedoms. Hitler did the same thing.

2) Dayton shooting August 19, 2019
3) Pensacola Naval base shooting-Dec 2019
4) Va Beach shooting May 19, 2019=12 dead-handguns
5) thousand Oaks shooting 11/7/18 12 dead victims-handguns

there are dozens more. You didn't make any effort to look

smart people realize criminals will always have weapons. Therefore I want honest folk to have them too. You admit you want a system where good people are disarmed but criminals will be well armed.

Certainly you could disarm millions and millions of heavily armed citizens who wish not to be disarmed. Its a relic according to you. For a relic you certainly havent had the courage to do a damn thing to it.

Not so in the UK where gun crime is rare

And the UK has banned most guns.

Both high profile mass shootings in my state of VA at VT and VaBeach both used handguns.

1) There is no way to talk about gun control without specifying types. IMO, what influences mass shooters to use AR's is their design, which is exclusively to make it easier to kill more, faster. That and the overwhelming amount of violence, including assault weapons, used in our everyday entertainment, like movies, tv and video games.

2) They expected them to own the type they would use if called up to war. I believe the Second should be repealed, for what its worth, so that isn't an argument that is going to sway me.

3) The only police in "neighborhoods" that I've seen carrying military style weapons is SWAT teams. Most police have a handgun. Maybe a tazer.

many departments issue an AR 15 or a select fire M16 to squad cars. Are you aware of the fact that there are thousands upon thousands of competitive shooters who use AR 15 rifles and the US Government sold well over 300,000 similar weapons (the MI Carbine) to civilians over the last 60 years or so?
