Joe Biden

How ?

Just how do you get from a picture to a determination of a lack of self control ?

Sensible answer please.

I'm a couple pages behind, and will continue to read, but I have no idea what CLAX1911 and TurtleDude are trying to do here. I did notice that the former is afraid to say it.

she appealed to several special interest groups that are important to the Democrats.

female, lesbian, Jewish and liberal

A veritable unicorn.

I truly believe Biden's pick of a VP nominee will be far more important than any so called debate with Trump.

I agree with that. The debates will be a rerun of two grumpy, old men fighting over who has to pay the remaining forty cents on the Denny's early bird special bill. They're both idiots who can rarely form sentences. The world and our children just deserve better than another four years of Trump.

Is this what passes for English in Houston?

That poster never learned how to type. He speaks to text. I skip his posts because a third of their content is unintelligible.

I've mentioned the need for a spell & grammar checker to him before.

When you can't type and when you can't see what you've yelled into your microphone, what do you expect?

I now really think Biden will pick Susan Rice as his VP.

They know each other from the Obama years and worked well together. Rice is strong and has government/diplomatic experience on many levels.

I tend to think Biden is looking for a Devil's advocate type personality, similar to the role VP Biden himself played in the Obama administration.

Rice (BA/History - Stanford) earned her Masters and PhD in International Relations at Oxford. Plus, Rice checks the female and woman of color boxes.

She is a very good speaker and not afraid to forcefully argue her positions.

Yeah, but the baggage. Rice's name has been run by the conservative dogs through the mud for years. Independents who don't pay a lot of attention to politics have a negative opinion of her, in my experience.

A typo makes it impossible for you to be able to understand English?

That wasn't a typo. Did you go back and read that post? It looked like you sat on your phone and pressed send.

Well.. its kind of like the folks that say "what..we don;t want to ban abortions.. we just want them to be safe"... and then go and put restrictions making it almost impossible for a woman to get an abortion. That require absurd requirements on the doctor.. that they have admitting privileges at a hospital etc..

Or the folks that say "what.. we don;t want to disenfranchise people from voting.. we just want to make sure their isn't fraud".. and then go and put restrictions on that purposely make it difficult for minorities to be eligible to vote.

So the gun banners do the same thing "we just want common sense gun laws keeping "assault weapons" out of the hands of criminals".

So they do a gun ban on "assault weapons"..that includes the shotgun I used for turkey hunting. and ban the rifle Turtledude uses for competition.. and ban the magazine in the gun my dad uses for competition for competition because it holds more than 7 shells.

And meanwhile.. we already had an assault weapons ban in place. and a magazine restriction.. for 10 years.. and after it was studied for those 10 years? What did the science say? "there was no evidence that the assault weapons ban had a statistically significant effect on crime, or injury from firearms".

Yet.. here we are again.. on one hand.. lambasting trump for not following the science... and then we have the gun control crowd.. doing the exact same thing.

NRA members don;t have to guess.. they know what the liberal/progressives in the party want to do that will restrict firearms basically needlessly.

I'm not sure what to say about that. It sounds like you're trying to support the slippery slope argument. Well, you didn't.

That wasn't a typo. Did you go back and read that post? It looked like you sat on your phone and pressed send.

Yes I read the post and I noticed my mistake.

I typed the word origin when I went nor did. I'm sorry for whatever confusion this cased.

But I think people on this forum such as yourself like to relate errors and typing to intelligence. Seems to be an emotional thing.

Yeah, vote for Trump instead

After all we've seen, he's the guy you want to lead the USA through the COVID-19 pandemic and through the next 4 years ?

After looking at the D's offerings? Absolutely!

I'm a couple pages behind, and will continue to read, but I have no idea what CLAX1911 and TurtleDude are trying to do here. I did notice that the former is afraid to say it.

Clax seems to be arguing that is a society free of racism, it shouldn't matter who parties pick as candidates

But it does

He's forgotten, if he ever knew, that we should have a government "of the people"

ie: Not 100% white (or male for that matter) as used to be the case.

That includes parties too

All demographics need to feel they are represented, not just white men.

When you can't type and when you can't see what you've yelled into your microphone, what do you expect?

More like, when you can't be bothered what your post looks like or how badly it reads.

After looking at the D's offerings? Absolutely!

Then you've got a warped sense of analysis

After the train wreck Trump has brought on us, you want him to give us 4 more years ?

You must have the strangest criteria of what makes a good president, because Trump is the worst ever. Confirming the worst fears we had 4 years ago.

Yes it does

Witness the inauguration speech of Obama in 2008
no it doesn't. Witness everybody else except for Obama. You're citing the exception as the rule and ignoring the rule.

No all voters are

We see this attempt at a broad appeal in other things like TV shows, ads, movies etc
so you think you need to appeal to racists and sexists in order to win? Why not just competence. If you rely on these people to be elected it's because you don't have broad appeal.

Just being a woman doesn't no

Biden needs to pick the right female running mate, he can just assume that a running mate will pick up votes JUST because they're female
relying on bigotry is probably one of the biggest problems in the Democrat Party right now.

You should focus on picking the best person not the right color and sex of the person.

But I know what this is. it's the same thing that caused Barack Obama to be elected. it's so you can call people sexist and racist for not voting for him. This works it did in 2008.

Then demonstrate it
Tulsi gabbard Kamala Harris Elizabeth Warren didn't get more votes than Joe Biden. I've already demonstrated it you failed to acknowledge it.
Who else shares your opinion - right now it's just you
whether or not something is correct has no bearing on who agrees with you. If I know for a fact that the Earth is spherical it doesn't matter if you produce 500,000 people that say it's flat but they all are wrong.

The majority can be wrong.

You are appealing to the majority that is a logical fallacy.

Or an even greater demographic shift can be seen if you compare the population in 2020 with that of say 1976
this statement has nothing to do with what I posted.

Nope, only in your opinion
only if you ignore the evidence.

Respectively:
1. Hopefully
2. Absolutely
Lol.

One of them
Democrats are the party of racists? This is not going to lead to broader support. It's going to lead to more narrow support.

If you party has to appeal to racists it is doomed in 2020.

So you CAN read

So now it's YOUR turn

Who do you think would be Biden's best choice ?
(names please)
Tulsi gabbard, Amy klobuchar, Pete buttegieg, Andrew Wang, Bernie Sanders.

All of these people had more influence than some nobody from nowhere.

Then you've got a warped sense of analysis

After the train wreck Trump has brought on us, you want him to give us 4 more years ?

You must have the strangest criteria of what makes a good president, because Trump is the worst ever. Confirming the worst fears we had 4 years ago.

Let's see, the economy roaring (until the pandemic, of course), minority employment up, stock market ignoring the pandemic. Reversing the US participation in BS programs that Obama got us into?

What train wreck? you mean the wimpy Obama economy don't you?

Yes I read the post and I noticed my mistake.

I typed the word origin when I went nor did. I'm sorry for whatever confusion this cased.

But I think people on this forum such as yourself like to relate errors and typing to intelligence. Seems to be an emotional thing.

I don't think unintelligible typing necessarily relates to intelligence, although it often does. It can also relate to education. It can also relate to laziness.

I doubt that anything I've said to you actually seems to you to be "emotional". The one emotion I might have experienced in our exchange is amusement. At that response you typed above based on the subject of the post.

More like, when you can't be bothered what your post looks like or how badly it reads.

Discussing things with you isn't really to communicate with you, there is no point at this point I've decided you are too pigheaded in your own orthodoxy and to bigoted to have any valuable discussion with.

It's really just to hone my argument.

Clax seems to be arguing that is a society free of racism, it shouldn't matter who parties pick as candidates

He's forgotten, if he ever knew, that we should have a government "of the people"

ie: Not 100% white (or male for that matter) as used to be the case.

All demographics need to feel they are represented, not just white men.

You guys never concluded why, in his opinion, pictures of Abrams prove that she has no self control.

I'm a couple pages behind, and will continue to read, but I have no idea what CLAX1911 and TurtleDude are trying to do here. I did notice that the former is afraid to say it.

Well I don't think either one of us is talking to you so that you can understand why I think that ship has sailed.

So the fact that you don't understand is a testament to your lack of self-awareness. You're just a prop as far as I'm concerned.

Let's see, the economy roaring (until the pandemic, of course), minority employment up, stock market ignoring the pandemic. Reversing the US participation in BS programs that Obama got us into?

What train wreck? you mean the wimpy Obama economy don't you?

This is the worst unemployment in my lifetime

Trump owns this

no it doesn't. Witness everybody else except for Obama. You're citing the exception as the rule and ignoring the rule.

That is because Obama was the exception, the ONLY black man to be elected president in over 200 years

And look how the crowds came out to witness his inauguration

so you think you need to appeal to racists and sexists in order to win? Why not just competence. If you rely on these people to be elected it's because you don't have broad appeal.

You need to appeal to as broad a spectrum as possible
Government of the people remember

Of course you need competent statesmen in charge, but it's not about racism/sexism, all groups need to feel they're represented

relying on bigotry is probably one of the biggest problems in the Democrat Party right now.

While the GOP relies on "competence" ?

I hope the GOP continues to think that presenting a diverse group of politicians for government is "bigotry"
Long live the non-bigotry policies of GOP candidate selection

You should focus on picking the best person not the right color and sex of the person.

The "best" candidate is the one who can attract most votes (unless he/she's totally unfit for public office like Trump)

A white/non-white & male/female shows that the Democratic party is inclusive, not the racist exclusive candidates the GOP offer

But I know what this is. it's the same thing that caused Barack Obama to be elected. it's so you can call people sexist and racist for not voting for him. This works it did in 2008.

So all the people who didn't vote for Obama were racist ?

Tulsi gabbard Kamala Harris Elizabeth Warren didn't get more votes than Joe Biden. I've already demonstrated it you failed to acknowledge it.

So what ?

You've demonstrated nothing

We're talking about a running mate pick, stay on topic

whether or not something is correct has no bearing on who agrees with you.

Er, yes it does

When you're all alone on an opinion like yours that picking a diverse ticket indicates that supporters are racist, a rational person would reconsider
So again, it's just your opinion, and no-one shares it
QED: You're wrong

If I know for a fact that the Earth is spherical it doesn't matter if you produce 500,000 people that say it's flat but they all are wrong.

I somehow doubt there are 500k flat Earthers and a lot more support a round Earth anyway even if there were that many
Try something else

The majority can be wrong.

Not in elections as it's an expression of opinion
However in the USA the majority can be losers

You are appealing to the majority that is a logical fallacy.

No the logical fallacy is saying you're right, because everyone else says so
Not because you're wrong because nobody else agrees

this statement has nothing to do with what I posted.

You said people were different than they were 4 years ago

Well the population was a lot more different than it was in 1976

only if you ignore the evidence

Nope just YOUR opinion

Democrats are the party of racists?

No, all parties are

Because all people are

This is why a successful party needs to be inclusive and has all groups represented
I know you and the GOP don't understand this and long may your/their ignorance continue

This is not going to lead to broader support. It's going to lead to more narrow support.

LOL

See my comment above on the GOP

If you party has to appeal to racists it is doomed in 2020.

You don't hold out much hope for Trump them....because the GOP's racism is all in favor of one race.

Would you like to understand what I was trying to say or do you feel that ridiculing makes your point?

That is because Obama was the exception, the ONLY black man to be elected president in over 200 years

Appealing to a narrow-spectrum narrow spectrum, meaning people who are bigoted against white people is not appealing to a broad spectrum.

Well, no. Try to stay awake and remember what happened. You said a couple of times that pictures of Abrams prove that she has no self control. Rich2018 challenged you, but I don't think you ever resolved it. TurtleDude liked a cryptic post in support of her pictures that prove lack of self control. Yet you never provided a picture yourself nor did you ever clarify what you mean.

Rich2018 may or may not have let you off the hook. I was just interested in your -- how did you say it? -- props.
