You haven't really clarified...but if I understand you correctly

If the 2nd amendment was repealed and guns banned, would you oppose the Constitution of the USA ?

There would be millions opposing it. So what is the difference between opposing that and all the violent rioting and looting and pulling down statues and defacing them of everyone under the sun? Is that somehow in tract with the Constitution?. And don't use the pretense it's peaceful demonstrations of grievances guaranteed by the Constitution.

If you have unregistered guns, you have to be nice to your wife. You don't want an angry ex going to the cops.

But it would be the same as an unregistered car. They'd fine you a hundred or two hundred and make you get it registered.

But, if you had 40 unregistered guns, it could hurt.

Any idea how many "orange jump suits" they would need?

Yeah, you managed to reply to a post correctly !!!

Is your weight really so fluctuating ?

Yes there would be millions, but in a country of 330 million, that is only to be expected

Trump, as bad a president as he has been, will sadly still get millions of votes

Would you care to tell us how you know this about Fledermaus to make a statement like that? Yes Rich I used the quote button right (as always).

See it wasn't that hard was it ?

IDK, I don't read his posts, yet he still replies to mine, like some pathetic love struck teenager, whining for attention.

What if...

1. You have to register each gun, just like you do a car, boat, or motorcycle. It's renewed every so often.

2. You have to have a valid license. To get this license, you have to pass a test. It's periodically renewed as well.

3. You have to undergo a background check.

Would you go through all this or just sell off your guns?

I went through this and own guns. I live in NYS.
I had to take a safety class.
I had to go through a background check.
Every gun purchased has to be registered and listed on your permit.
To secure my concealed carry permit, it had to be approved by a judge.
I went further and have taken numerous instructional classes.

The problem is not with the legal gun owners. The problem is with the illegal gun owners.

Just making a point.

If my cars, and my guns, reside on my personal property there should be no requirement for licensing and or registration...

My opinion and nothing more.

In NYS not possible. You can not legally purchase a fire arm in NYS without a permit or the weapon being registered.

Guns don’t have to be registered in the free USA. You folks in communist NY , I don’t know if they are free or not.

I don't know where you got the whole thing at. Pulled it out of your ass maybe? You say you don't read Fledermaus' post, could it be that you about half ass read mine?

Is your weight really so fluctuating ?

Are you really not that smart to figure out what I meant? If that's the case revisit the whole quote meme.

Yes there would be millions, but in a country of 330 million, that is only to be expected

YES! Many orange jump suits. 330 million is overall. Unless you expect 1-12 year olds in orange.
Trump, as bad a president as he has been, will sadly still get millions of votes

All you guys do is piss and moan Trump this Trump that. Hell we took two rounds of Obama and didn't bellyache no where near as much.

Why don't you try. Or are you only interested in how he may reply to you, which doesn't make sense since you don't read his post.

Betcha it really got gun crime under control huh? Well I know it didn't as well as you do too. Suffer though the fools that think it does.

I currently have to do all of the above, and will continue to do so.

It was stolen, they aren't registered, opps.

You're so naive

If it has a serial number the manufacturer will know what dealer they supplied it to

The dealer will know who they sold it to

Credit card records

The criminal who stole it might confess where he got it from

There are lots of ways a stolen gun can be traced back to you.

So you wouldn't report it's loss to police...?
Hell no I would not report it. It would be an unregistered gun and against the law to own so reporting it could possibly result in charges filed against me.
And if it was used in a crime and recovered and traced back to you ?

It would never be registered to me therefore could not be traced back to me. Or I would simply claim I sold it to some dude that was kind of a prick in GA, went by the screen name Rich2018. Then it would be your troubles not mine

Your use of the quote function failed you again

How do you perceive that your post might have been incompletely read ?

Better still why don't you explain it

I don't understand what "quote meme" means

If you eliminate minors, the proportion of people that are incarcerated in the USA climbs still further

All you guys do is piss and moan Trump this Trump that. Hell we took two rounds of Obama and didn't bellyache no where near as much.

Because Obama is a decent man and was a good president

He might even have been a great president had he not been hamstrung by a hostile Congress

Same as always.

But seemingly it became hard again with post #36

Why don't you try. Or are you only interested in how he may reply to you, which doesn't make sense since you don't read his post.

Because I regard his posts as worthless
I don't reply to them anymore, yet still he replies to mine, knowing I ignore them
Don't you think that just a little bit sad

Maybe his cries for attention will stop if I ignore his posts for long enough, what do you think ?

Neither.

I don't own any weapons now, although I am seriously considering it for the first time in many, many years.

The reason being that I find myself concerned about the socialist/authoritarian bent of so many of my fellow citizens.

So if I ever finally choose to own a gun, I would do so while also choosing not to obey a single one of those conditions.

So I chose "Other."

I find this reply interesting and odd.
Being from the UK I know nothing about guns except computer games.
What I'm confused about is that I assume you're a law-abiding citizen so if the law says you need to do those things surely you'd comply with the law?
Are guns a special case for you where the law is concerned?
Are you against all gun laws or specific laws?
