... all semi-auto guns were banned in America?

Remember the Winchester 44-40 used by Lucas McCain in the western "The Rifleman"?

With the modification to the lever it could fire 11 rounds in just three seconds. and that modification isn't even hard to do. I have no mechanical skills and I could do it. Carry two of those rifles with you and you can put 22 rounds on targets within seconds.

If your intent is criminal (e.g. the mass murder of random human targets) then why worry about breaking a gun law?

My 1894 Marlin takes 10 rounds plus 1 of .44 Mag and I an reload on the move, second choice would be my GP100 .357 mag, with the speed loaders I can change rounds nearly as fast as my semi-autos. But then again If I were Bat Chit Nuts and wanted to do a mass shooting I would just hide a couple of my semi-autos and use them when the time is right. MEANING gun bans are the Wrong Answer....

If that law makes it almost impossible to get a get, I'd say criminals would be quite worried about it.

Does the nationwide ban (which has been in place for decades) of heroin, meth and cocaine make them hard to get? Of course not - because (criminal) demand creates (criminal) supply and criminals (by definition) do not obey the law.

wouldn't matter unless you are pretending that a ban means the guns suddenly cease to exist./ Someone planning mass murder will obtain whatever he wants

a mason jar loaded with black powder and ball bearings would be pretty brutal. Same with a whiskey bottle containing 2/3 gasoline, almost a 1/3 motor oil with a handful of BF Goodrich #4 rubber bands dissolved into the mix.

A large truck carrying explosives for $500 Bob!

Guns and drugs are not the same

The UK also has a nationwide ban on drugs as well as most types of gun

But while the success of their gun control is shown by how rare gun crime is, drug abuse is sadly very common.

You been reading the Turner Diaries?

Or a can of gasoline with a firework taped to it.

Why limit it to mass "shootings"?

Well, anyway, my answer is that it would be automatic or semiautomatic firearms. People who commit mass murder don't care about what is banned or not.

Has any mass shooting been done with a full auto weapon?

Maybe the St Valentines massacre back in 1930?

I think that was more of an assassination than a mass shooting.

Almost impossible? Hell I'm not a criminal, but I could get one easy enough w/o a BGC. So I really doubt a real criminal is going to have a problem.

Yeah that war on drugs was lost the day it was declared.

Or brake fluid and dry pool chlorine.

I don't think any shootings have happened. Except where the person was three fries short of a happy meal. But MSM would have people think it always happens. Hence the coinage of "assault weapon" by the anti gun group in the 80s. If it looks like a machine gun it is.https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Media-Continues-Perpetuating-VPC-Machine-Gun-Deception
