if your gonna hold a gun in public in your hands looking like your ready to shoot that will scare people
and thats not good i say just keep it at home so you can protect yourself. the protesters in michigan holding
fully automatic assault rifles in their hands at the ready well what if i walked into a store
and i was holding a ar15 what would people think? i would go to jail the cops wouldnt just walk away
and say its my second amendment i would get arrested right there.
imagne walking into a airport with a gun they would jump on you and call the cops.
when is the line drawn you cant have a gun in your hands at the ready out in public or in these areas.
imagine walking in the police station with a gun in your hands what do you think their gonna think?
you dont dress up like a mass shooter and call it a protest but thats what the people in michigan did.
they not only had guns they had nooses and swasticas.

im fine with someone having a pistol on their side but when they have a assault rifle
in their hands its not even concealed its in their hands thats a big difference.

I agree.

Boogaloos intimidating people in public is a bad image that tars gun owners at large.

The number of gun owners is dropping every year. We need to present a positive image to voters.

Just keep your gun at home period.

When you say "on their side" do you mean concealed? And no one has an assault rifle since the NFA and GTAs of 68 and 86 banned them without a lot of bureaucratic red tape and their little $200.00 stamp. Also any rioter with one wouldn't run the risk of loosing 10-30 thousand dollars or more.
As far as their hands go maybe they could collapse the stock and put it in their back pocket?

I agree.

The USA is the only democracy where it's perfectly legal for tens of thousands of mostly heavily armed civilians to intimidate the people by walking around with guns

Richmond, Va in January was a black mark on democracy and freedom in the USA.

Exercising rights for me, but not for thee. Classic Left.
But hey, if you want to march around in support of and ostensibly threatening if you don't vote for Stacey Abrahms, it's cool.

LOL

I love how you object to 4 guys with guns but were OK with about 20,000 guys with guns in Richmond Va, in January

What's good for the goose...

you know what he meant don't be one of "those"

freakin ridiculous
I do know what he meant, but that doesn't mean I have to accept dumbing down of the debate. Words have meaning. If we're going to ignore that fact, then let's have a talk about how Eric Holder allowed strategic thermonuclear warheads flow south into Mexico during Operation Fast and Furious.

How did you dream up "fully automatic assault rifles" and where is your proof of this? And they are black and scarey (guns) or "well I heard doesn't count.

well what if i walked into a store
and i was holding a ar15 what would people think? i would go to jail the cops wouldnt just walk away

They would think you were holding an AR-15 (least ways here). You would probably be asked to leave if the place was posted no weapons allowed.
Aka gun free zone. Here they are not enforced.

This is pretty up to date across the board..Oregon Concealed Carry Gun Laws & CHL | USCCA CCW Reciprocity Map(Last Updated 06/04/2020)
Are "No Weapons Allowed" signs enforced in Oregon? If yes, violating the sign would be considered to be a crime. If no, violating the sign would not be considered a criminal offense.
No. Oregon does not enforce "No Weapons Allowed" signs. As a lot of other States. I got sidetracked looking at other States.

and say its my second amendment i would get arrested right there.

Then move somewhere you wouldn't.

imagne walking into a airport with a gun they would jump on you and call the cops.

A bunch of over weight TSA guys landing on me? SQUASH no thanks.
when is the line drawn you cant have a gun in your hands at the ready out in public or in these areas.

When? A long time ago. Where? The second line of the BoRs of the Constitution of these United States.
imagine walking in the police station with a gun in your hands what do you think their gonna think?

Around here they would say DAMN NICE how much did it set you back.

you dont dress up like a mass shooter and call it a protest but thats what the people in michigan did.
they not only had guns they had nooses and swasticas.

No they dress up as rioters and looters and do it under the pretense of protesting.
im fine with someone having a pistol on their side but when they have a assault rifle

Is this pistol concealed, you know outta sight so I'm not afraid of it? And it is very, very unlikely (did I mention very)
anyone had an assault rifle. The 1934 NFA 1968 GCA and 1986 FOPA saw to that. But anyone that plays the game with all the bureaucratic red tape and expense isn't going to throw it away.

Better not turn the debate into a contest though.

Yes he meant semi-automatic guns, now can you let it go.

Don't be like one or two other posters on here.

Come on Rich you want to say machine guns or "fully automatic assault rifles" so bad you can't stand it.
Richmond, Va in January was a black mark on democracy and freedom in the USA.

You mean a black mark on gun haters.

Yeah..I fall into the "one of those" category......the OP clearly has no idea what a fully automatic assault rifle is, and to allow that statement to go unchecked is to perpetuate fearmongering, and spreading false information.....if you are going to try to speak with authority on a subject, at least try to be educated on the subject.

We have enough clowns in DC making blatantly false inaccurate statements regarding firearms....trying to be dismissive of "gun splainers" is disingenuous.

A contest you guys lost long ago.
Yes he meant semi-automatic guns, now can you let it go.

If that were the case wouldn't it have been easier to just say that rather then "fully automatic assault rifles"?
Don't be like one or two other posters on here.

I do hope I'm one. Hey just thought, I could be one of those. How cool is that.

No, I do actually know the difference

You mean a black mark on gun haters.

For hiding from them ?

A contest you guys lost long ago.

I didn't mean the gun control debate generally but more like the confrontational style of a certain poster on here

Yes

I do hope I'm one. Hey just thought, I could be one of those. How cool is that.

No, you're posts are usually light hearted and humorous (after a fashion that is).

And to think the first of the Gun Debate Forum lays that out.

you are paranoid about guns my friend.

You claim to know the difference but yet you say nothing, you stick up for them like it's nothing. Not so sure you do know the difference.
For hiding from them ?

Stand behind the 20,000 or so armed they will protect you from those "fully automatic assault rifles".

Then don't be so confrontational.

No, mostly I just try not to be an ass.

Between semi and fully automatic ?

It was a click on the fire selector switch, on my L85A1 rifle

So long as I'm for their precious 2nd amendment

Then don't be so confrontational.

I'm going to try not to rise to any bait

Me too, but it's hard sometimes.

I will stop correcting people's mistakes when they stop making them.
