Who here supports banning ALL semi automatic guns?

Wikipedia is not a credible source. Anyone can modify any of their pages for any reason and put in anything they like. Therefore, all Wikipedia sources are dismissed out of hand. If you provide a credible source, I would be willing to check it out. Otherwise I don't waste my time clicking on Wikipedia links.

Suit yourself.

I have my Western guns, Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag, as you pictured, takes time to learn and handle, along with a Stoeger Coach DB 12g, and a Marlin 1894 LA also in .44 Mag, and the wife has a similar combo in .22 LR/Mag and in 20g. All fine firearms and used often, But the majority of our firearms are Semi-autos, Double Action, or Pump, simply for their ease if use, modularity, and operation. No I will not go with banning all semi-autos, and it would be a violation of the 2nd A, heck many Liberals would we against such a move. Besides, I do not know even one person, Con or Lib that would turn them in.

I have an M1A. I'm just having fun. I must admit though I prefer revolvers, Blackhawks/Super Blackhawks and S&Ws, except for the 1911.

No revolver, by definition, is considered to be a semi-automatic. Manually cocking the revolver, or pulling the trigger on a revolver, cycles the round. A semi-automatic automatically cycles a new round after each round is fired. That is what semi-automatic means.

Revolvers are not auto-loading.

The one in question is.

Each pull of the trigger rotates the cylinder and cocks the hammer.

As do I, the Scout version with the green stock. I also own several AR 15's, a Mini 14 and Mini 30, along with one AK, and a slew of different Semi auto 22LRs. Besides those I own several Glocks, Rugers, Bersa's, Taurus, plus a CZ and a Kimber as handguns not even going to list the shotguns. Yes, most are kept in a Safe, not all, plus several full ammo safes. Some people would call that an arsenal, but it is nothing compared to what some people I know have. We do a lot of shooting and occasionally hunt, but most have been collected over many years.
I am what some call a Prepper, no there is no Bunker, and we are not end of the world as we know it types, we just believe in being stocked up for a wide range of possible emergencies. Thing is if you are well stocked up you have to be able to defend it, in that area we are very prepared. For us it is just Common Sense, look at what just happened and the stores being cleaned out, think about if we lost all power for a couple of weeks, months or a year, and that is an actual possible scenerio.

While I'm not a prepper my mind works that way.

You should follow up on it, a little at a time here and there and next thing you know you will way ahead of the curve for whatever may come your way.

Since we're discussing it, what is the best canned meat?

SPAM, just disregard the ingredients...........

Edit: only if there is a heat source!

Anchovies/sardines, not sure if they qualify as “meat.”

I have both Spam and corned beef on the shelf. My father got me into spam. Not forget roast beef hash.

I think he does now, but considering the item in question, its easier to simply discount Wikipedia as a source of information rather than admit he didnt know what it was.

My Grandfather had one in .38, but eventually traded it for who knows what.

I think you are correct....

Beef jerky...

Oh and Dintey Moore beef stew...

I love this stuff....used to take it to the field when I deployed, or camping with potatoes, carrots, and onions....makes for a nice stew.

I keep the roast beef hash in the pantry, but I simply cannot abide Spam anymore.

Wikipedia lists it's sources at the bottom of every page.

Obviously the phrase "shall not be infringed" escaped your grasp.

"Infringing" is already a given and has been for 100 years. Full auto's are not allowed and neither are explosives. Those are both arms and are being "infringed".

Of course they are allowed. Not only can I purchase a fully automatic firearm and explosives, I can do so without the federal government knowing anything about it, and do it legally. Furthermore, even the federal government allows civilians to own and use fully automatic firearms and explosives. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

There is this...

The domestic manufacture of new machine guns that civilians could purchase was effectively banned by language in the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 (also known as "McClure-Volkmer").

That is infringing isn't it?

National Firearms Act - Wikipedia

Seems like an impingement to bearing arms to me.
