I would expect nothing less from someone who can't understand simple concepts on reasonable firearm regulations- ALL well defined and while nothing can stop violent crime (a silly standard for any discussion) many steps can be taken to LOWER violent crime.. :roll:

We have plowed this field so many times before.... :roll:

Start with back round checks for all transfer of firearms from one owner to another. Proper storage of firearms in the home. Strengthen the ATF, stop the idiotic requirements hampering revisiting FFLs with multiple infractions. REAL jailtime for multiple violations.

Now onto the big issue that has many 'gun' rubbers so upset. I don't see any blockage for the banning of any particular firearm. The right as I see it is bearing arms, not bearing whatever arm you fancy. Same with mag cap. If WE THE PEOPLE want to limit mag cap or restrict the sale of certain firearms that is democracy in action. 'Freedom' is not limitless in our modern society.

But we have done this dance sooooo many times before... :peace

Good analysis-we see lots of "I am a gun owner but I hate those who support Trump so I support harassing restrictions on guns to get them"./ If you think what sort of arm you can own should be subject the whims of the voters, you don't believe in a second amendment right.

Look at it this way

I believe in the first amendment ,but the citizenry should be able to restrict the practice of a religion, a preponderance of the voters find objectionable

or

I believe in free speech as long as a majority of the citizens approve of what you say

Why do RW Americans always think that just because they do it a certain way that:

1. That must be the only ways it's done everywhere in the world

2. If other countries are different, then it's an inferior way than the US method.

Do you realize the umber of times I hear numbskulls from this country talk glowongly about other countries knowing damn good and well that 1-those people have never been to those countries and/or 2-those people damn sure arent rushing off to go LIVE in those other countries?
