Run On Guns In Australia

Irrelevant to the fact that immigrants who wish to become naturalized must swear an oath to support the Constitution.

That is mostly true, although illegal immigrants don't go through that procedure.

Besides, just because you swear an oath to support the Constitution doesn't mean you're going to keep your word, you see that with police officers all the time.

His record indicates it.

Eliot Ness was born on April 19, 1903, in the Kensington neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest of five children born to Peter Ness (1850–1931) and Emma King (1863–1937). His parents, both Norwegian immigrants, operated a bakery. Ness attended Christian Fenger High School in Chicago. He was educated at the University of Chicago, graduating in 1925 with a degree in political science and business administration, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He began his career as an investigator for the Retail Credit Company of Atlanta assigned to the Chicago territory, where he conducted background investigations for the purpose of credit information. In 1929, he returned to the university to take a graduate course in criminology taught by August Vollmer, a noted police reformer and chief of the Berkeley Police Department. Vollmer's ideas about professionalizing law enforcement would influence Ness throughout his career.
Thank you Fledermaus.

Having a tantrum on national television I find to be quite embarrassing, for the person having it.

You must feel acutely embarrassed for Trump then

You maybe, but nobody else

Where's your evidence for that ?
That no-one else cheered when Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, ripped up Trump's speech ?

Nancy is the one whose a complete zero.

Where is your evidence for that
Who poll are you referring to ?

Still waiting for your evidence that Elliot Ness was "smart" Btw

I don't agree with him about everything but he is perhaps the best hope fur gun rights that we've got.

Really
So you'd be taken aback by comments from some gun owners that Trump is no friend of the gun lobby ?

Which is good and which is all the more reason why he's doing a good job for the gun rights cause.

That NRA membership trends under Trump resemble those under a Democrat administration like Obama and Clinton ?
You'll have to explain that one

One of the things I disagree with him about, although I've never had bump stocks and I've never wanted them.

Just one huh ?

Maybe we need a separate thread on it, is Trump pro or anti gun ?

I only approve of immigrants who support and respect the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights, including the 2nd Amendment. Especially if they're from your country.

We kicked out your ancestors in the late 18th century, by using guns.

How do you know they're not only your ancestors

So you don't support granting citizenship to anyone who would support a constitutional amendment ?

Im going to do what you always do, ask for evidence. So, do you have evidence of that?

Although I wouldn't be surprised if illegal immigrants tend to be Democrats since its the Democrats that support illegal immigration

So you're looking for evidence for something you already agree with ?

Study finds more immigrants equals more Democrats --- and more losses for GOP

Wow, that took all of 5 seconds.

But gun ownership per capita has dropped by 23% during the same time, said Associate Prof Philip Alpers from the University of Sydney.

"Far fewer people now have a gun in their home but some people have a lot more guns," Associate Prof Philip Alpers told the BBC.

It's just gun owners buying more guns. Same as it is in America.

Gun ownership is dropping, year by year. Eventually, there won't be enough people to defend gun rights.

True, the profile of your average gun owner is getting older.

So anything we can do to make it harder to buy a gun is welcome.

Like a gun ban will result in a civil war...like it hasn't in any country banning guns

Are you anticipating a civil war in Canada now ?
If not, why not ?
Canada doesn't have the 2A and neither do any other countries, except the USA.

That is in Australia not in the USA.

And now with the Coronavirus pandemic gun ownership is higher than ever, among all ages and demographics, in both the USA and Australia.
