PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. -- Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills says a homeowner on Thomas Dr. called 911 dispatch around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday about a man armed with a knife up a tree making a disturbance. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Hunter Layne Harrison, had picked up a concrete landscaping border brick and threw it through the locked glass door which led to an enclosed porch, according to Sills; But the homeowner, armed with a .45 semi-automatic pistol, shot the suspect once in the arm. Harrison hit the kitchen floor and the owner held him their until deputies arrived.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro is looking for an outstanding second that was involved in an early morning shooting on Tuesday.
It happened just after 3 a.m. in a neighborhood near Sahara Avenue and Arville Street. Police say a man was home alone when he heard voices at his back door.
The homeowner, Metro says, got a firearm and confronted two people in his back yard.
One of the suspects, a man, allegedly came toward the homeowner in a threatening manner. The homeowner responded by firing one shot that struck the suspect in the shoulder.

Teenager opens fire on three armed men after attempted burglary, killing one; Three armed intruders broke into the Cobb County home late Sunday night in what appeared to be an attempted burglary.
An unnamed teenager living in the home shot and killed one of the suspects, Machavellia Bagsby, 21. Another suspect, Taruss Miller, 21, was shot in the leg. Authorities later apprehended a third suspect, a 16-year-old.
Miller was caught on a home security camera begging for help after being shot. He and the unidentified 16-year-old were charged with murder, aggravated assault, attempted armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm.
Police are still investigating the situation and do not plan to charge the 17-year-old with any crimes.

First date ends in a shootout for an Atlanta man; According to police, it all started after Tikoyo Lamonz Reeves met a woman on a dating website.Reeves invited the woman over. When she got there, she had a friend with her.
"Shortly after the women arrived, a man armed with a rifle snuck inside," Turner said. "He was startled by the homeowner's dog and that's when the homeowner grabbed his gun and the two started shooting."
According to police, the two women and the would-be robber took off.
