Current Attempts to destroy Gun rights in Congress

are you denying some in your party want to ban and confiscate firearms?

‘Some’ sounds better than all. Our Dem governor is actually leaving gun stores open during this virus. My Dem state representative is as mod/con as I am. Good man. Our state house district went 51.9 to 42.5 trump.

My town has one of the highest per capita rates of CCW. Not very comforting if you knew our clientele. We’re Reagan Democrat territory. This whole ****in country is a powder keg.

It bothers me to finish by saying that you’ll politicize guns, when there is no chance of what you’re accusing coming true.

you don't want that job, man. i know for ****ing sure that i don't.
No one who wants the job should be allowed to have it, because only corrupt people want power over others.

it is not yet 2021, when progressives control the congress and the white house

then those scared ******s will have to eat ****
You are so wrong about this that I am actually afraid for you. You really have no idea do you??

no one is going to stop you from pursuing your hobby. i might decide to get a handgun or something eventually, but even if Sanders had won, i wouldn't have had any doubt that i could do that. i'm not going to vote for a semi-literate adult child just for that reason. the orange moron that you're tacitly defending has argued publicly for confiscation before due process.
Yes he did but of course that was in the context of red flag laws. I absolutely do not agree with how he handled that. There must be due process even with red flag scenarios. Otherwise Trump is pretty much pro-2A.

There's some truth there.

He's whatever he wants to be at any moment. The dude can and will turn on a dime.

This is typical federal congress at work.

Yes, DC is very badly broken, on both sides of the political aisle.

No truer words.

Also no truer words.

Yeah and they wonder why there approval level is so low

Americans are prone to making stupid parochial statements.

Name another democratic country that bases its democracy on that of the USA

Have you never heard of the English Civil War or the English Revolution ? (both in the 17th century)
Does the world "parliament" mean anything to you ?

Only in America do they think they invented democracy.

England still had a total monarchy, not a democracy, America based the French Revolution, and since America was so successful, other countries set up the same thing

England hasn't had an absolute monarchy since 1649

They beheaded Charles I

Since then monarchs of England/Britain have been Constitutional monarchs

(There was the English Revolution in 1688 to depose his son Btw)

France has had 5 republics since their revolution - they have what's called a "Unitary semi-presidential constitutional republic"
Their form of government is parliamentary

...other countries set up the same thing

OK, name one

Name a single western democracy that mirrors the US form of government - where the head of state is also the head of government.

They all follow the British parliamentary system

No-one copies the US system, because it's proven itself so bad.

If my hobby is gun collecting California sure has done so if I wish to purchase guns that are legal in 49 other states.

move to Somalia.

move to Somalia.

Been there, done that.

I felt safer in the streets of Mogadishu than the Hill Street in Oceanside, CA.

One reason is that I was allowed open carry in Somalia but not in California.

;)

That being said why should I have to go to Somalia to obtain my Constitutionally protected rights?

If you're not willing to sacrifice for your boomstick collection, then I can't help you. You need to take personal responsibility and embrace rugged individualism.

Why should I have to go to Somalia for a Constitutionally protected right?

Because you apparently don't believe in state's rights. I suppose you could move to a real toe shootin' red state if you don't like California. I was recommending Somalia in case you wanted to go for the really big stuff.

States rights shouldn't trump the Constitution. Right?

What if Arizona decides the first amendment no longer applies?

Or the forth?

What if Georgia declares the 14th null and void?

States are allowed to regulate. If you want to arm yourself like a warlord, seriously, man. Somalia.

Then you could appeal to scotus. But it looks like you cant

So you are cool with Georgia "regulating" citizenship?

I suspect not.

In what way?

How's the packing going? I'd recommend lots of cash to bribe the warlords.

In Georgia regulating citizenship.

I'm sure you wouldn't want that.

And why should I leave the US to enjoy Constitutionally protected rights?

I personally wouldn't leave the US just to play with bang bangs, but some folks act like it's the end of the world if they can't carry a Howitzer into KMart. You can do that sort of thing in Somalia, minus the KMart part. I think that they closed those everywhere.
