How hard is it to manufacture firearms from scratch?

I love the hand gun, the 23mm cartridge case mounted on a handle shaped stick.

As basic a hand gun as they used in Medieval times.

And if that is all you saw you didn't actually watch the videos....

No surprise as the videos give lie to your constant babbling about "home made guns".

Are you still making your ignorant claims about non factory guns?

Any machinist worth a darn that has the specs can make M3A1 machine guns in their own shop with little difficulty. Just saying.

Rich2018 doesn't believe you. Or anyone else. It doesn't fit his world view. According to him guns must be made in factories specifically designed to do so.

According to him no firearms should be made anywhere and those already made should be confiscated, by force if necessary, it is his fantasy.
Still doesn't change reality.

YouTube has a video (I am not going to post it) of a functioning six shot revolver made on a 3D printer. Now that 3D printers can machine metal, expect a lot more of things like this. The best part, no license required and no laws broken.

I somehow doubt that.

I think the lack of fully automatic sub machine guns in criminal hands proves that.

Wrong and it has been done numerous times. Criminals find it easier to simply buy firearms through illegal means and those that have the skill to manufacture firearms are rarely involved in criminal activities.

So make homemade guns illegal too if you feel it's a major threat.

If it's been "numerous" times, how many shootings have we seen from fully auto, homemade guns ?

The Khyber Pass gunsmiths was interesting. Imagine the difference in the shops. I've seen a few basements and garages set up that would be high tech in comparison.

Rich has been presented many of these weapons before. His response was predictable. The videos went into more depth and now he is moving goalposts....

He doesn't want to admit his much loved ban will only disarm the law abiding.

Still the doubter.

Well if they are a machinist worth a darn it could be they already have a pretty good job and don't need too be a criminal.

How many home made, fully auto M3, sub machine guns have you seen reports of ?

Neither have I

So you claim

But a "machinist" is just someone who operates a machine.

Yes, WWII showed you can set up a factory to make simple weapons like the STEN and the M3 but the operators needed specific machinery and needed to be trained.

Eg: you can't take a bunch of Ford workers and tell them to build a Toyota no matter how skilled they are.

Since you state they are not an issue then there is zero to outlaw them, that was too easy.....LOL

Here are a few videos describing "home made" firearms not built in a dedicated arms factory...

Enjoy!

Pretty easy; some of the nicest homemade reproduction 1911's come out of the Cebu province, Philippines, from the illegal gun smiths.

The homemade guns I saw in Afghanistan were made by folks in the most primitive of shops....let than what I have in my garage even, yet turned out reliable firearms.

Incorrect on may levels. It is almost as if your engineering education was wasted.

So with the right machinery and skills, you can make home made guns.

Sort of setting up your own little factory.
