Sanders is for gun control now, because that is the politically tactical decision. He was opposed to gun control when that was the politically tactical decisions.

Sanders is a fake, a fraud, a white haired, racial segregationist, crazy old white haired man of limited education who joined the socialist party as a young man. He declares numbers made up out of thin air - usually not bothering with numbers - and does a political health-and-welfare tele-evangelist act with extreme forceful body language (waving a fist in the air), extremely booming forceful voice loudly and with pauses between each word. Believe in him and all your health and monetary problems will be eliminated. Isn't that the pitch of every tele-evangelist?

How does registration help if the only guns registered are those of people that aren't likely to commit a crime? You keep saying it "could help" but have failed to give any actual benefit registration could provide other than annoy legal gun owners.

There is no limit under Federal law. If a private citizen sells one gun with the intent to make a profit, it's illegal. Proving that intent is another story. Someone caught selling 20 guns a year? He's going to prison.

You will not inadvertently sell a gun to a criminal if it is registered

It will help reduce guns getting to criminals. It a barrier.

Registered guns require a background check. If a gun is registered to you and it turns up in the hands of a criminal.....you have a problem

Criminals will start acquring more guns through theft. Registration solves nothing.

I would imagine most criminals buy their guns from other criminals. Can you supply any data that this is a major enough problem that warrants registration? This is mainly out of curiosity for why you are so adamant about a gun registration as there is not a single argument that could convince me that I want the government to have that type of information considering it renders the entire point of the second amendment moot.

I wouldn't say it is pointless, this is an online forum and there might be someone that is sympathetic to your reasoning reading this. I just figured it wouldn't be a good faith discussion if I didn't let you know up front that there was literally no possible argument that could change my mind on that issue.

And I appreciate that. Gun registration already exists in lots of places even in the US. They tend to have low gun deaths. The same is true in first world countries all over the world. If you bought from a dealer it is already defacto registered. I am mostly looking to close the loopholes
