People keep saying that, but how can that be true if gun bans serve only to disarm good people while doing little to disarm bad people? Is there any way to make a stronger case in support of such an opinion other than just adding similar opinions together, still with no scientific proof such an opinion is realistic? If gun bans show promise in other countries can we equate those other countries with the US if those otcountries do not have an open border with a neighboring country with a massive black market system of weapons supply?

Some people like smoking dope or drinking themselves into a stupor, and some get killed and kill others in accidents because of that abuse. Is there really any way to stop the hundreds of gun deaths each year or thousands of alcohol deaths each year other than by taking away everything people find pleasure in that can hurt someone?

There are radical leftists who do not like slaughter houses either. leftist agitators set their sights on a local turkey plant here in NC and harassed the business for months because of their obsession with weird views about animal rights. The leftists would not give up and finally won. The plant shut down, putting 1,000 workers out of a job during the recession under Obama, and threatened the town with bankruptcy due to the loss of revenue from their only major corporate tax payer. Go commie democratistas! Make atheism and hedonism great again as America is brought down off its high horse of economic prosperity and religious purity.:roll:

Rich has admitted he wants to disarm good people, even if we found a way to totally disarm criminals. It is way beyond any ignorant, but good faith belief of crime control. I believe it is a cultural hatred of those who reject being dependent on a nanny state for their protection.

I would want to point Nazis were actually pro-firearms ownership. They encouraged German citizens to own guns, in order to foster a military spirit. However, they demanded that all Jews and those they deemed racially inferior non-Aryans as well as those who failed to be "Good Germans" (i.e., those who failed to support the Nazi Party adequately) be forced to relinquish their firearms. Pretty much the worst of all possible worlds.

On this other forum he didn't claim to really be the tough guy and all pro gun but that he was for guns(if that makes sense).
If s/he is pretending to be a guy well they will be referred to as such. No call to get under my skirt.;)

It's a shame Carl Rowan is now dead and gone. He was such a forceful opponent of guns. He recommended automatic jail terms for anyone found with a gun. The trial could come after the mandatory jail sentence is fulfilled. Of course, Carl did make rare exceptions. For example, after he was arrested for shooting a black teen swimming in his pool without permission he insisted he had a right to own an illegal weapon himself to protect his property.

Something else I have wondered about. It seems the left remains obsessed with the idea that Trump was somehow guilty for a death in Charlottesville which he did not attend and that democrats cannot forget, but I never heard a peep out of some democrats bemoaning the fact that Carl Rowan shot a black teenager with an illegal gun. Actually, I am not being truthful. I know exactly why the leftist media are unwilling to discuss that, just like they hate to discuss any truth which does harm to their propagandist narratives.

Well hell everyone just knows everything is Trumps and the NRAs fault regardless what ever happens. And the Rowan incident yeah the Democrats wanted that under the radar. Bad for business.
