I assume you are referring to this part of the bill?
B. It shall be is unlawful for any person who is not a citizen of the United States and who is not lawfully present in the United States to knowingly and intentionally possess or transport any firearm or to knowingly and intentionally carry about his person, hidden from common observation, any firearm. A violation of this section shall be is punishable as a Class 6 felony.
Are you advocating for non-citizens, unlawfully in the country to be able to possess firearms?
No he is talking about the part under section 18.2-308.8 that makes possession a crime, turning thousands of Virginians into felons simply for having a boogeyman’s gun in their collection. I personally think it’s bull****. The state would be better served by making the use of a gun in commission of a crime carry an added mandatory jail term.
